I'm now using a Beijing and a Canton SIM card, both of them are from China Mobile. Switching them makes me :( .
The Beijing SIM was successfully cracked with simscan, but cracking the Canton SIM seems difficult. I tried all the soft, sim scan, woron..., without result.
Maybe it is a Comp128V2 card.
Predict? :) Most probably it has already been cracked but nobody would make it public available to avoid chaos... When the Mobile-market will have switched by 90% to the newer UMTS generation, the crack of the Comp128V2 will become available. Until then... let's just wait and play with old Comp128V1's ;)
A solution to your problem with switching between 2 providers (Comp128V2) could be the hardware solution. I have posted in the past a thread with some pictures of this hardware. Maybe that could help you.

In china this hardware solution (abt 5 US$) is very cheap compared to our Europe (abt 40 EURO). If somebody of you happen to get one of those, please send me a free sample... :p
@admin:
All pictures have been googled for display purpose only. If they should somehow be changed into an advertisement, please close this thread.

Yes, that 2in1 hardware solution is being sold in the market, and it cost about 25 RMB (3 US$).
But I think it a bit too thick to fit in the SIM card slot. It may make it difficult for me to switch back to normal SIM cards. And I even have to cut my old sim cards. There is also solutions can be used without cutting cards. Still I think it not reliable.
If u buy a quantity u will get the special tools for free.
Will the adpter work also with the PDA telephones?
I own the QTEK 9000 and the QTEK 9090.
Can you tell me if it will work also with these telephones PDA?
Thanks.
Enzo
I don't need the tool (a scissor to cut the original sim-card;) ). I just made a joke if somebody had a free sample for me :) But thank you anyway for your comment.
Here is an independent (not an advertisement for this product) review of this adaptor. It has been tested with several phones and found to work properly. According to this test, only SYMBIAN phones will NOT have a direct shortcut ability. There, you would see the menu like on the picture below:

Here is a picture how the menu appears on a phone:

This review is in german language. You can click !!!HERE!!! (http://www.teltarif.de/arch/2005/kw26/s17652.html) to read the full article.
P.S. The both online feature makes an automatic change to the second number every 5 minute and back again to the first number. It is NOT a true both online function, but a quick "check for messages and return back" feature.
Express, normal and slow is the adjustable time-frequence for this quick change of the two numbers.
I can not promiss that this "adaptor" will work for anybody. You all know meanwhile, that everything appears nice on an advertisements and by the time you buy it.... you regret having spent your money ;)
This is just a nice alternative until somebody will come up with the ability to clone comp128V2 cards. If somebody owns this device (owns!!! not sells!!), please write a review about the quality of this adaptor.
Some negative comments already made by others are i.e.
1)higher battery-consumption when using this adaptor,
2)also in order to make use of the "both-online function" you will have to disable the PINs on both cards
3)the adaptor is slightly thicker than a regular sim-card, it might become difficult to put back your battery
4) SIM-EMU RULEZ :P
Thank you :)
