hi
got a 15gig 3 generation ipod ...
when i turn it on , got black apple icon.... and i hear a nois from it ... thats all it does.... till battary get empty ... charge ... again same shi.t ...
i replaced battery , same shi.t.
anyone know anything about ipod probs ?

please install your ipod updater to update or restore your ipod using your usb cable provided by your ipod. maybe your ipod needs to update or restore the software.

problem is ... pc cant see anything conected to it when i conect it usb or firewire ... :(

i have exactly the same pb with my piece of s***t, 3rd generation 15 GB Ipod...

my friend got same problem with same ipod .... but his still working after full charge.
if this happen , i was leaving it runing till battery goes off , then full charge it and all good. but after few month that i didnt touched it ... this problem wont go ... :( stupid apple

Use other PC, install ITunes, try full format, and update after. If has latest fw, re-write the latest one.
This solved my problem, but was on IPod 10GB.
