Treo650 dongle read error [Archive]

Hello to all,
I just recieved my Treo650 dongle and all drivers installed properly. Problem is I get error message when I try to read the codes. Anyone have this problem?
PS: This is jic dongle NOT server credit.
PPS: Unlockcellular already suggested to send back for testing / replacement but I would like to know if I missed something.

Your drivers for dongle is okay.

Your computer is NOT recognizing your Treo 650 phone.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I installed in a different computer and all went well. I unlocked many treo650 thru jic server in past so I dont know what it was and it was in Test mode.

I am getting a different error msg:
"Dongle could not process data !"

Any suggestion?

It is a Cingular Treo650....

Thats probably because the connection on the PDa is loose or hard reset the phone.

Here are things you can do to avoid this problem:
- Restart computer
- Hard reset the phone (make sure you have back up first)
- Check cable conection

Why with these problems?

I get the exact same error, dongle could not process. I also had 1 time another error: FT_write - General IO error.

any clue what that is for?

When i installed mine, it keep giving me error 'Invalid port number (COM1)' how to solve this problem?

Plug in hotsync cable and hold the hotsync button
Now put battery in phone
You will see test mode
Release hotsync button ;)
