View Full Version : 8310 ! Unlocking ?!
Hi,
I was surfing gsm sites and i found this cable . I have no idea what was the site's url but anyways .. the cable can read nearly all the eeproms of mobiles ( but obviously u have to physically open the mobile ) . So if u have to physically open a 8310 and read the eeprom , can u flash it with a unlocked flash file ? . Would the operation work ? or the mobile would remain locked ? .
thx

You can try but before you do it remember to save your original flash file... but i think its work.

Read this:
----------------------------------------------
Nokia 8310 / 8390 FBUS / MBUS data cable
Reference: NK-83
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The nokia data cable NK-83 works for Nokia 8310, and 8390 in FBUS and MBUS mode. It's compatible with nokia logomanager:
Change Operator logo (Nokia Logo Manager)
Change Startup logo (Nokia Logo Manager)
View Security Code (Nokia Logo Manager)
Enable/Disable NetMonitor (Nokia Logo Manager) and with Service software like winlock or Nokia Tool
------------------------------------------------
this info is from the site:http://ucables.com/products/cables/Nokia/index.htm
now any of you know wich version of logomanager to use in order to get sec code, and netmonitor to work?

you cant use pony programer as the eeprom is flash integrated, it not a seperate chip like in 32xx dn 5/6xxx series phones.
HI
1 The only way to unlock 8310 is by data cable (FLASH, MBUS).
You can read EEPROM area by reading FLASH.
EEPROM is emulated in flash.
There is no physically EEPROM in this phone...
2 But if you are a PRO or have EETOOLS or some
flash reader, you only (!) have to disolve smack solution under the flash cip and desolder the flash ... read it with flash programmer, cut from resulted file EEPROM part and ... voila !
Best Regards.

r u sure its possible to unlock a 8310 by disolving the flash chip and re-programming it with a flash programmer ? . do u know where to buy a flash programmer ? . www.eetools.com is good ?
NO NEED to do that !
Removal of that FLASH chip is almoust impossible.
You just need to wait for CABLE solution to come out...
It seems mutch more reasonabble this way (by cable).
PS: yes, the programmer from EETOOLS is good to read flash chips.
Hi,
The programmers from this company are for starters only. Their best model supports only
ancient chips.
If you wanna play with Philips Diga - you can buy one
Check the 8310 Flash chip on AMD site: 29N643 ...
