Ericsson A1018 fast discharging

I'm repairing phones and often see that problem: A1018 very fast discharging. Usually I change power supply chip (38043) and that solve problem. But sometimes it don't help. Whatt can it be? How to repair that. Currently I have 3 phones with that problem. We can do expirements :)

Hi man!

Have you try to change the eprom content?
Some phones have soft problem with value of full charged batery and low batery changed.If the full chrarged batery value is change your phone may not charge the batery to full or if the low batery value is changed your batery it is maybee charged but your phone says is not.The best prog for write full eprom to phone is USPU 4.38, if you don't have it then use any soft but you have to put to your phone an Txx eprom content and after that put an a1018 eprom content then flash the phone, must work.

I mean,that the problem is what Fludor wrote.. I have an expirience with calibrating this values (battery full, and empty) on Nokia phones... Maybe you will need something like service battery,power supply and something like wintesla to calibrate this values of batt. and charger... The other eeprom contents maybe help you too, but only if this values are there..(I don't know:-()
