Main screen

Settings

Screen always on: the screen will not go to standby when playing.
ID3 charset: you can display speacial accented characters in the title/author of MP4 files. For Latin-1, use ISO 8859-1; the list of common character sets are listed in help.

Importing a skin

All JPG files on the phone are listed here. However, the search for the files may take some time, the process is indicated by the rotating circle at the bottom of the screen.
Select a file by pressing the joystick to use it as a skin. It will take some time to import it. Press Back to save the selected skin.
Only JPG files with the .jpg extension may be used.

First of all, i want to say i'm not responsible by anything that can happen to your Ngage by the use of these two applications.I'm only sharing something that may be usefull to some Ngage owners.

Although i've not heard of anyone who's got a dead phone after trying the patch, my advice for the people that are going to try it is:

Do it if you are sure you can bring a dead Ngage back to life i.e. you have professional tools for flashing/firmware upgrade, just cause i can't say an application like this is 100% safe.And i don't have a Ngage to test it, neither...

Don't forget: though your phone is covered by the warranty, if the application damage your phone and it can't be turned on anymore, maybe when you take your Ngage to the Nokia Center, they'll see you've installed some weird app, and they can say it's broken the warranty.
Don't forget Ngage isn't as safe as the newer phones, that you can format by turning the phone on and holding keys.If an Ngage can't be turned on, then it can't be formatted too.

Think carefully whether you're going to try this or not.If yes, then make it by your own

Before proceeding, make sure your phone is N-gage classic.The patch doesn't work with N-gage QD.

Let's get it started:
Inside the attached file, you will find two applications.

"fixss" is to keep the phone safe from the classic
App closed!

The other application is "speedup", what is the overclock patch itself.

The steps:

1-download the zip file below
2-extract the sis files
3-install fixss (recommended, as the other people that were successfully have installed fixss)
4-install speedup
5-restart the phone

Now you should have a 143MHZ overclocked Ngage.I know 2 persons that tried it, and they say the speed is noticeably fast.
I've also heard that, when the phone is overclocked, some games (just a few) may or may not work, depending on the case.But most things will work and better, like PicoDrive, as well as the speed in opening menus, applications, etc.

It's all up to you (if you decide to try it) testing and posting your results.

To have Ngage back to normal after having it overclocked:
uninstall speedup and restart the phone.

Don't forget to make a backup of phone's memory *before* trying it.If something goes wrong and you noticed some malfunction, format the phone.

INSTALLATION

1. Install Spmark and make a full test of your N-Gage
2. Install fixss1.05.sis on the memory card of your N-Gage
3. Install the speedUP.sis on the memory card.
4. Reboot
5. Couple of second after starting up your phone everything must be working as usual. Test your N-Gage again with Spmark. The result must be higher.

All you have to do to make your photo album is
hit create new album, give album name and description(optional),
Open the newly created empty album,
Hit Add photos from the menu and mark the appropriate photos by hitting key '2' and hit insert,
An information bar comes on the screen saying the photos successfully added.
and your new photo album is ready.
You can see the albums in the grid as well as detailed views.

Highlight and 'Enter' to open an album
Use 'delete(c)' key to remove the album

i searched the thread and found that several other people have already asked for N70 torch blesio unlock code. but the code has not been posted in the thread anywhere. instead a link to another version of N70 torch flashlight has been provided. but that one doest work for me. it only has one option "test" which turns on the flashlight for less than a second..i dont know how to keep it on with it. if unlock code cannot be provided... atleast tell me how to use this other flashlight.

To power LED on:
start the application,
insert number 150001 and press options then test.

To power LED off:
exit the application, restart the application,
insert 150000 code and launch test to switch off.


It is a little tricky but it does the job. Anyway, I'm looking for blesio code too, it would be much better not to have to insert any code every time AND open and close the program every time I want to switch between ON/OFF.

Tomtom 6 - For Mobile... (The easy way)

Now then, This is hopefully going to be an easier way to get it on your Phone.... As it took me over a week. Most is copyied but i have added a few simple tip... so this is the All in 1 guide... enjoy

1. Extract the folowing file to your Memory Card... (But take it out of the TomTom folder, So you paste the 8 Folders (i.e System, Tomtom, Voices etc) Will be on the First page you look at when you open your Memory card.

2. Run your phone go to where ever your phone would have put it, On my N80 i have to go into "My Own" on my Old nokia it is on the First screen. You should Then see a "Application installing", And If not just try and run the program.

3. This is where most people go wrong, Ok Put the Map Files on Your front screen of your memory card along with the other files.
FIRST Install this map:


And at the Same time you can put on your own map:

Italy V650.1111 - 216.6 Mb on card


Deutschland V650.1111 - 206.8 Mb on card

4. Now Go onto Your TomTom it will ask to activate 1, go to Changed map and click on the Guam map.. But hopefully it will do that for you on its own. Now then when it asks you to activate the map sya you want to do it manually.

You will recieve a ID number ... Mine was ADAN DJEG or something.

5. Download the Map Activation Keygen (if you downt already have it):

and extract the files to e.g C:\Keygen

6. Go into the Guam folder and Make sure that all files NOT hidden, and you will see a file that is called Guam.Mid

Copy this to The Keygen folder you just creasted.

7. Click start -> Run -> Type cmd -> OK

6. CD C:\TTNKeygen

8. TT6.exe Guam.mid

9. It will now ask you for your ID: which is what we found on Tomtom i.e ADAN DGJED

10. Type that It and you will recieve the code... Type that code into your phone when manually Activating the Guam map... It will then Say "Activated".

Then Change maps... And Wolah! you have TomTom

TT6 is only for new symbian S60 3rd 9.1 ( N80, 3250 ...) . Nokia 6680 have symbian S60 but I don´t know what edition 2 or 3rd . For edition 2rd is TT5 .

This is total recall v1.0.3. I don't think there is a version 3. If you install this onto your phone memory (not mmc) it will give you the option to turn the beep off. It is cracked.

yo a maybe u can try "hard reset" *#7370# (like my classic enggage) and step 2 backup ur mmc to ur pc wit card reader and format ur mmc wit pc or nokia 9210 wit fat file system (dont use fat32 or ntfs)

Hi Arbangun, I am looking for the latest version of Worldmate for my Nokia 6620. I do have Worldmate 2005 standard version installed, but it doesn't update the weather, flight times and the currency exchange information through my t-mobile gprs service. I have used older versions of Worldmate and I think they did update the information, but don't know why this version doesn't.

I tried using the simworks from this forum, but everytime I try updating the virus definitions, it says connection failed or something. Do you have a tested version of simworks for Nokia 6620?

Finally, I have Profimail 2.6 (I just downloaded it and installed it over the previous version 3.2) installed on my Nokia 6620, and I also made it to send e-mail by using t-mobile gprs, but the problem is sometimes it fails connecting to the network for updating the mailboxes. The other problem is that after sending an e-mail as well as while updating the mailboxes, it takes a lot of time (1 minute or so, everytime). When I click on an e-mail, it will log in the server of the mailbox and download the e-mail but then while disconnecting, it kind of gets stuck and thats extremely annoying as it happens for every e-mail I want to check. I can't see the images on html pages in my e-mail too. Actually it takes painfully long time to switch between one window to the other in Profimail.

Hi Arbangun, I am looking for the latest version of Worldmate for my Nokia 6620. I do have Worldmate 2005 standard version installed, but it doesn't update the weather, flight times and the currency exchange information through my t-mobile gprs service. I have used older versions of Worldmate and I think they did update the information, but don't know why this version doesn't.

I tried using the simworks from this forum, but everytime I try updating the virus definitions, it says connection failed or something. Do you have a tested version of simworks for Nokia 6620?

Finally, I have Profimail 2.6 (I just downloaded it and installed it over the previous version 3.2) installed on my Nokia 6620, and I also made it to send e-mail by using t-mobile gprs, but the problem is sometimes it fails connecting to the network for updating the mailboxes. The other problem is that after sending an e-mail as well as while updating the mailboxes, it takes a lot of time (1 minute or so, everytime). When I click on an e-mail, it will log in the server of the mailbox and download the e-mail but then while disconnecting, it kind of gets stuck and thats extremely annoying as it happens for every e-mail I want to check. I can't see the images on html pages in my e-mail too. Actually it takes painfully long time to switch between one window to the other in Profimail.

I have accidently installed SKULLS virus on my MMC while installing McAfee Antivirus. Now my phone has been reinstated but they are unable to clean up my MMC.

the only way is, you must do hard reset your device and MMC bro,and restore your default setting.but first you must back up all your data!!!

i understand your problem bro.but that's too shame you didnt mention your device.for this prob.there are alot of apps that hide our messeges,like smarthider which can hide out going/incoming calls,and messeges!!besides that,i think arbangun posted some of them already!!check it out!!!

I have been able to place a bmp to replace my operator logo. but i am not able to get a trasparent background so that my theme look good. ANYONE have any helpful tip on how to make a trasparent background. i have tried fexplorer to place a logo.

TO mwvirk: hey pal, your problem is very simple, whenever u get those files with the extension of ".sisx", just rename it to ".sis" using FEexplorer or whatever system explorer that u got there.. just remove the 'x'.. that's it!!
