Hope all of u like my creation

i've just test on my 6600 & ngage en it's running well en really smothly and offcourse nicely too

I want to share to my experiment how to increase our symbian too...
BUN ever publish it to this forum too, so in this session i want to support him that what he said to us is true..
Do this instruction to your phone :
In TO-DO in your menu.
Click Options ->New to-do note than follow this step :
1. Subject : Speed
2. Due date : 29/01/2005
3. Priority : High
Click Done
and the click Options one again -> New to-do note than follow this step :
1. Subject : Qoukie
2. Due date : 29/01/2005
3. Priority : Low
Click Done
at last click Options one again Mark as done Two of your Note and restart your phone...hopely you can feel this function.

Simple to prove that that instruction :
Every operating system has an qoukies that will be slow your system so, with that instruction the space of the qoukies will be decrease to your phone so your phone will be more stable and speed more...

You can prove by installed APPMAN or SYMBIAN SYSMAN to show how much memory more release than with no that instruction ok

-After restart for sure the memory will increase compare to before restart..
-Dont see the logic of doing that.. its just a note..qoukies?? n what hell is that..??

ipMan.S60.to.WinRAR.Transformation.Patch-Lijoe:
File Associations issue Fixed

This patch transforms ZipMan's looks to that of WinRAR. You would say what's new with it, nothing great, it is already done by DoNPDA. Yes, you are right. My patch also has the same WinRAR icon and caption. So what's the point in making another patch or mod which looks similar??

Here's what i have to say........

DonPDA's work was cool but loss of file associations left it useless for most of the users who open zip/rar/tar files directly by clicking on them in file explorer.

I designed this patch to make it possible to retain the zipman file associations even after icon change which was not possible in DonPDA's release or icon change by any other normal method.

It means you can now enjoy ZipMan's new looks without disturbing its file
asociations.

No more will you get an "unknown file type" error when you click on a zip/rar/tar/gz file with modded ZipMan.

Also someone reported that DonPDA's release showed it as ZipMan 2.5 in the about box.This has been corrected in my release, it now shows WinRAR v2.5 or whatever depending on the version of Zipman you installed.

DonPDA's release was a complete mod of the original app whereas my work is just a patch which is to be installed over a previously installed ZipMan.

I designed it for ZipMan v2.5, but it may work on previous versions also.

It was also reported that DonPDA's release had only zip and rar file support. I have put all the plugins supported by Zipman into this patch so that you can make up for the additional plugins.

Screen shots will give you a better picture of BEFORE and AFTER looks of ZipMan. Read the instructions carefully during installation of the patch.

Remember, it is just a patch and not the complete app. You have to download ZipMan cracked version and then run the patch and restart to apply the changes. I made it as a patch to keep its size small and also to make it possible for use with Zipman older than 2.5

p.s. : i did not modify the help files of zipman as i feel hardly anybody reads them or needs to open them.

Very much a niche application and (necessarily) slightly strange in terms of interface, TWT SMS Reader is nevertheless effective, at least in terms of 'doing what it says on the tin'. The aim is to speak incoming texts to you while you're driving and to allow you to post a quick reply with absolute minimal sight of your smartphone's screen.

The utility comes in two parts. The first integrates itself into the Symbian OS messaging system, so that when a new message is received an information message can be popped up and you can choose to process it in the main TWT SMS Reader. One more keypress and the message is displayed on screen and reading then starts in a computer-generated, but surprisingly accessible voice. It managed to get "Litchfield" right, for a start, which impressed me. Replaying the message is only ever another keypress away.

The idea behind this program is good, but there are a few caveats. For people not in your Contacts store, I found the long winded readout of the sender's phone no and time of sending unnecessary and tiresome. After all, you don't already know the person, there's not much point in simply being read a 12 digit string. Also, TWT SMS Reader, despite its fluency with names and words, amazingly can't handle common abbreviations and emoticons, as used a lot in text messages. So ETA and and l8r are all read literally. Also disappointing was the way you can't get back to re-reading old messages - the program only works while a message's flag is set to 'new'.

I liked the way you can send potential quick replies with a couple of keypresses, with the replies themselves read out aloud should you still not be able to look at the screen. Interestingly, there was a choice of half a dozen 'voices' for the software to use, although I found the default one to be the clearest, even if it did have a slight German accent.

TWT SMS Reader is a great idea and so nearly 'there'. But it fails to go the last mile and this is reflected in the score of 76%.

I'm always use smartVcard and smartVcal to take a spare from the contacts and the calender data..
smartVcal not work properly when there are alot of data so I found that when a take a copy of the file named "calendar" which found in the internal memory of the mobile on the system/data/ which shown in this image (1), this file will contains all the calendar data which can be restored by over-write the one after formatting the phone..
This is true for the contacts.. if we can take a copy of the file names contacts.cdb (shown in image no (2)) that is found in the same region, but unfortunately I could't take a copy of it by using a different types of mobile files explorer..
By taking a copy of this file we can restore the contacts data as well as all the ringing tones that specialized for each contact...
Can any body help to do that...

ZipMan.S60.to.WinRAR.Transformation.Patch
This patch transforms ZipMan's looks to that of WinRAR. You would say what's new with it, nothing great, it is already done by DoNPDA. Yes, you are right. My patch also has the same WinRAR icon and caption. So what's the point in making another patch or mod which looks similar??

Here's what i have to say........

DonPDA's work was cool but loss of file associations left it useless for most of the users who open zip/rar/tar files directly by clicking on them in file explorer.

I designed this patch to make it possible to retain the zipman file associations even after icon change which was not possible in DonPDA's release or icon change by any other normal method.

It means you can now enjoy ZipMan's new looks without disturbing its file
asociations.

No more will you get an "unknown file type" error when you click on a zip/rar/tar/gz file with modded ZipMan.

Also someone reported that DonPDA's release showed it as ZipMan 2.5 in the about box.This has been corrected in my release, it now shows WinRAR v2.5 or whatever depending on the version of Zipman you installed.

DonPDA's release was a complete mod of the original app whereas my work is just a patch which is to be installed over a previously installed ZipMan.

I designed it for ZipMan v2.5, but it may work on previous versions also.

It was also reported that DonPDA's release had only zip and rar file support. I have put all the plugins supported by Zipman into this patch so that you can make up for the additional plugins.

Screen shots will give you a better picture of BEFORE and AFTER looks of ZipMan. Read the instructions carefully during installation of the patch.

Remember, it is just a patch and not the complete app. You have to download ZipMan cracked version and then run the patch and restart to apply the changes. I made it as a patch to keep its size small and also to make it possible for use with Zipman older than 2.5

p.s. : i did not modify the help files of zipman as i feel hardly anybody reads them or needs to open them.

How to get started

There are 3 top views in the program: Status view, Rules view, and Rejected calls history view. You can switch between them with joystick left/right

Status view

In this view you can turn BlackList on or off. If BlackList is off it doesn't block any calls.

When turned on you can see how many incoming calls you've had and how many of them were rejected by BlackList application.

Note: You can close BlackList application at any time, but if it's activated it will work in the background anyway. To stop the program completely you should deactivate it before closing.

Rejected calls history View

Here you can see BlackList activity. In this view you can see what calls were rejected and when. The calls are sorted by time of the call in descending order. It means that the most recent calls are displayed on the top of the list.

Rules view
(Application customization)

Here you can fully customize your BlackList. There are two types of rules. You can activate only one of them.

Black list: Here you can define the list of correspondents you don't want to answer. If this rule is activated and someone from this list is calling, BlackList application will automatically decline this call.

Accept only list: Here you can define the list of correspondents you want to accept calls from only. If this rule is activated and you're called by somebody not from this list of correspondents this call will be automatically rejected.

Behind the screen:

BlackList cancels unwanted call immediately even before your phone starts ringing => No irritation caused by these calls at all!

What caller hears: BlackList makes busy line effect for unwanted caller. Your phone will be always busy for an unwanted caller even without bringing your attention.

Auto start feature: If BlackList was activated and your device was rebooted, no need to worry and restart black list manually. It will be autostarted automatically.

Hints: If you want to decline all incoming calls (for example to be reachable with SMS, MMS only, etc), just select "Accept only list" rule and leave it empty. Then BlackList will decline all incoming calls.

after searching a lot to solve the problem, which every n-gage classic users have (with the newest firmware: v 4.03 26-11-2003 NEM-4) after a start up (error message: "app. closed main - please contact retailer" ), finally i found the patch to fix that ****! :supz:

i think this is the most usefull app for n-gage classic users and is for everybody a musthave!

Contacts Manager for Series 60 can export/imports contacts from/to Nokia 7650/3650/3660/6600/N-Gage, Siemens SX1 and other Series 60 phones using a CSV or TXT file with delimiters. This application can also read (import) contacts data created by Contacts Manager for Nokia 9210/9290 or by Contacts Manager+ for SE P800/900 (UIQ) phones.
The advantage

Unlike similar programs, Contacts Manager is able to save (export) into textual file virtually all data from the contacts database of the phone.

Contacts database transfer between phones using synchronization with PIM (e.g., MS Outlook or Lotus Notes) might be incomplete (lossy) - especially in the case that contact cards in the communicator or smartphone contain more fields then contact cards in the PIM are able to accept. Export using Contacts Manager keeps also hidden items as well as hidden field properties.

Export

As a result of export, you will get delimited CSV/TXT file in Unicode with data ordered into "columns". Export supports also multi-fields (repeating fields) and fields with user-defined description, and conceded and hidden fields, hidden subtypes (properties) as well as special fields, are also handled properly. Result file can contain also group definitions and other supplement records. Parameters of the result (CSV/TXT) file can be defined in Settings - according to the user's needs. Exported file can be imported into a spreadsheet or database application on PC, or (again using Contacts Manager) into Series 60 phone, Nokia 9210/9290, or SE P800/900, etc. And after conversion to NCC format, you can load contacts also into Nokia Series 40 phone.

Import

You can import CSV/TXT file exported by Contacts Manager(+) from Series 60, Nokia 92xx, or SE P800/900 (UIQ) phone (or created manually using the CntMng export protocol format definition). You can also import contacts from Nokia Series 40 phone (conversion from NCC format needed). Import adds contacts into the contacts database. Recognized items are imported into proper fields, and for each unrecognized or unknown item a new 'Note' field is created in the contact card.

Hi all this a s/w called CardScanner you can input phone numbers from business cards or advertisement boards by just taking pictures of those numbers. The phone numbers are automatically extracted from the pictures and you can directly dial a number or send a message to this number. You can also add the extracted phone number into your contacts.
You can see the viewfinder and the benchmark line, which show you the image of phone numbers to be captured.
Make sure that the benchmark line is floated on the phone number to be recognized and try to adjust the phone camera to ensure the phone number is moved to the middle part of the benchmark line.
After the adjustment of the phone camera position, press Option->Recognize or down of the Navi-Key to start the recognition.
The recognized phone number is displayed on the edit box. You can check the phone number and correct it if necessary. You can also press Retry to discard the current number and restart capture procedure.
Press Select to select operations: Dialling, Add to Contacts and Write Message.
Note:
(1). Make sure to capture phone number pictures according to the focus of the macro lens, i.e., 5 cm.
(2). Do not open other applications that use the Camera when the CardScanner is running.

Call Filter: send busy signal to unwanted incoming calls without charging the caller or yourself. Call Filter allows the user to send busy signals to incoming callers. 2、Advanced Call Manager
Personalized call rejection. In this mode, an end user may define personalized call rejections for each of the members in the "Specific List". A user may select "Reject call", "Reply by SMS" or "Greeting" options to reject calls. A user may use "Manage Lists" to create his/her "Specific list".
Reject all incoming calls. In this mode, all of the incoming calls will be automatically rejected. It can be used in the time when a user does not want to be disturbed (for example, when a user is driving a car or having a meeting).
Accept only recognized calls. In this mode, all of the unknown calls will be rejected; those recognized calls (names are already stored in the phonebook) will be not affected.
Reject calls from blacklist. In this mode, all of the calls from the predefined blacklist will be automatically rejected, whereas the rest of the calls will not have any effect. An end user can make use of "Manage Lists" function to create the needed blacklist. This can be used in the situation when a user does not want to be harassed from some people.
Accept call from whitelist. In contrast to the previous one in this mode, mobile only accept calls from the predefined whitelist. All of the other calls from non-whitelist will be automatically rejected. An end user may use "Manage Lists" function to create the needed whitelist.

3、Phonecall recording
application will let you record incoming and outgoing phone calls, if a user wants to record the voice over the telephony line, then the user just simply simultaneously presses "ABC" key (on which has a pen icon) and "+" key to start recording over the telephony line. Another simultaneous press of "ABC" key and "+" key will stop the recording process. If the user wants to record it again, then, he/she just needs to simultaneously press "ABC" key and "+" key to start it again and so on.

4、Voice recording
A user may select "Greeting", then "Record" to start to record a voice message. A user may use "*.amr" or "*.wav" format to record voice. The format can be selected in "Active mode". As we know, on some of the Nokia S60 phones, "Recoder" application cannot only record the audio clips which are longer than one minute. Using this method, a user can record audio clips longer than one minute. The recorded messages can be used to as templates to answer a phone call in some of the usage scenarios. Please be noted that audio clip in "*.wav" format is of much bigger size than the one in "*.amr" format. "*.amr" is recommended for most of the cases although "*.wav" has higher quality of voice.

The beep sound is made intentionally by nokia to avoid possible legal issues regarding to the recording of the phone conversations. therefore there is no way to disable it.
I tried it whit different programs like ultimate voice recorder and the beep sound stays.

good of you to post this. From what I've read, you need to install a program called the "Symantec Settings Builder" (SB.EXE i think) on a PC to update the virus definitions. Did you get a CD with this on ?. Its meant to be in the TOOLS folder. If so can you post it if it isnt too big.

I dont have internet access enabled on my phone so I cant use the LiveUpdate tool to get the definition updates.

Inside this zip archive you will find another 2 files (savce.def & script.dis)
