Profile Overview

Full Screen Caller Pro consists of profiles. You can set a profile to a contact, you group or all contacts. You can create as many profiles as you wish. Every profile has its own settings of displayed information about caller, positions of every displayed element, order and size of you photo.
There is the special wizard for creating you’s profiles. You can create new profile, based on real profile. Every element of profile - text label, picture etc. has its own settings and together these settings make up profile’s settings. You can change any setting of profile. If caller’s profile not found, application takes default profile to show necessary picture during phone’s call. There are two predefined profiles - “Business” and “Friends”. You can’t change their names, but can modify all their settings. There are default settings for these profiles also, which can be restored.

Customizing Profile Settings

To change settings of profile you can use menu item “Customize…” and change there a lot of different settings, such as profile’s name, add or remove some text labels, that are describing information about caller, choose colors etc. There are two types of pictures, connected with any profile: background image and caller’s photo. The first one is shown on full screen and the second - in the customised place. The caller’s photo is loaded from phone’s database. You can remove or add if necessary both caller’s image and background image if you want. In this case only text labels you set will be shown. To assign a background picture to your profile, you can select any image of phone’s data or get a snapshot from camera.

Creating new Profile

Every time you wish you can create new profile. For this purpose Profile Wizard is created. There are two types of profiles - Users Group and Single User. The new profile is based on a profile template. You can change all template settings after creating new profile with the help of menu item “Customize”

i had installed the anticomm warrior but it didnt detected any virus in it. i had uninstalled the anti commwarrior. i had symantec mobile security version 4.0.41 installed in it and its symantec live update wireless version 4.0.2.44 installed and i had also updated it via AIRTEL GPRS.but my problem is as it is mobile get off 5-7 times in 1 hrs.n after 2-5 sec is turn on autmatically i had formated my cell recently both phone memory n mmc card too but after few the problem starts it get switch off n onn automatically

Try Closing ALL NOKIA PC SUITE runing applications in the background b4 using mobile drive coz most softwares are unable to access if ports are already in use .....LIKE EXAMPLE "LAUNCH APPLICATION2.exe" DATA LAYER.exe...... couldnt remmber all if u dont know them then i suggest restart ur computer BUT PC SUITE SHOULD NOT RUN IN THE BACKGROUND especially the file names i just metioned!! n try to use mobile drive.

I neva used mobile drive but through expirience mayb try adjusting the speed of ur data bits of ur cable!! try to put the lowest speed or the greateast speed.... mostly its 15200 bits/sec but u can adjust acording to how it responds.. like if u put lowest speed n it works.. then put a litle higher speed if it works then keep higher until u find the speed whichit doest work with!! And if ur using XP then it should b alot more easier CONNECT UR PHONE but close mobile drive then go to CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM > HARDWARE > DEVICE MANAGER and u should see in "ports or com ports" (mostly thats how it is) if not then u should be knowin if its blue tooth or USB .... and when u see ur cable port RIGHT CLICK > PROPERTIES and then start adjusting ... but i recomemnd start with the slowest speed then OPEN MOBILE DRIVE and try 2 see if it works!!

If it doesnt then go to mobile drive otpions to b more specific on the type of cable u use!! if its DKU-2, DLR3P, DKU-5 or some others.... and specify the port more specific as u can... if u dont know wat type of cable u use then go to nokia site 2 see wat type of cable does ur phone support

I dont know wat 2 say but wat i discovered wat 2say but if the file ur trying to send is big then it usually happens... AND MOSTLY if the file u send is bigger then the AVAILABLE PONE MEMORY or sometimes AVAILABLE RAM this happens... anywayz m saying refering to my phone NOKIA 6600 so if u send small files which are less then ur phone memory not memory card and it sends then the explanation it correct ut if ur still unable to send samll files then i gues ur infected with a virus, mayb comm warrior or the cabirs..... so u should get a cool antivurus like example NeTQin (http://www.netqin.com/english/) or try to full format ur phone!! but backup all ur data becouse they r un-recovable

Nokia 66xx & G Mail.

Forget using the phones built in email software (the one in Messages).
It just doesn't seem to work with SSL based webmail like GMail.
Use either Lonely Cat Games ProfiMail or Movamail's Mobile Mail.

After spending a few frustrating days trying to configure
either one of these I found out that what I needed wasn't just
the WAP settings from my service provider but also their INTERNET
settings. These settings were just 2 lines of 7 text characters
added to 2 places on my 6600 but it made a world of difference
when connecting via ProfiMail or Mobile Mail. Thanks to Dead
Soul 4 da info on this...yer right...once ya know...tis simple!

So I'll pass the "Knowledge".....

Go to Menu, then Tools, then Settings and open Connection.
When Connection is open press the joystick again to open
Access Points. Then create a new Access Point and make sure
it is an INTERNET access point. Mine is named DiGiNet.

Get the names from your service provider and type them in like this;
Connection Name (what your service provider gives you, Mine is DiGiNet &
typed in just like you see it here both in upper & Lower case)
Data Bearer (leave this alone)
Access point name (whatever your service provider gives you and this must
be typed in in lower case. Note it is usually the same as Connection name.)
User Name...leave alone
Password...Leave alone
Authentication...Leave alone
Homepage...Leave alone

Then open the Advanced settings by clicking options...Advanced settings
and just have a look but don't type anything in unless your service
provider tells you to do it.

Click the Back button to return to the page in connection settings
that displays Access Points, GPRS & Data Call. Open GPRS and click on
GPRS Connection....When Needed. Then scroll to Access Point and give
it the same name as you did in Connection Name (both upper & Lower case
characters) that you got from your service provider.

Exit the Settings menu when you have done this and then configure your
email software. With ProfiMail go to the Advanced settings and make sure
that the connection you will use is the new INTERNET connection you just
made and not your service providers WAP settings. With Mobile Mail you
fill out a few lines of text on 2 pages and then when the phone prompts
you for what connection to use make sure you also use the new INTERNET
connection you just made...not the WAP settings.

When your software is configured...connect & enjoy.

Personally I like Mobile Mail better than ProfiMail because it's a small
Java App and I really don't need to look at pix...etc...etc, just the text.
Plus I find it faster than ProfiMail...both are great Apps tho...

1st for setting mp3 as ring tones in 3230.

place mp3 sounds in your sounds folder in mem card or in phone mem, go to profiles ,open any for example general profile, and there you can see ring tone, open it , now there will be a list of all sounds in your phone, there you will see your mp3 sounds select that sound.

and may be check this method . open directly mp3 sounds from the folder where you save it these sounds will be play in real player, open it and stop it, select options , there you can see 'set as ring tone' .

i had installed the anticomm warrior but it didnt detected any virus in it. i had uninstalled the anti commwarrior. i had symantec mobile security version 4.0.41 installed in it and its symantec live update wireless version 4.0.2.44 installed and i had also updated it via AIRTEL GPRS.but my problem is as it is mobile get off 5-7 times in 1 hrs.n after 2-5 sec is turn on autmatically i had formated my cell recently both phone memory n mmc card too but after few the problem starts it get switch off n onn automatically

ther no ways 2 eliminate the beep sound...me hve tried almost all e recording software but all of them do beep...tin u try find "natural recorder" cos my frenz using it nw n say nt bad cos e beep sound nt loud.

What do you mean by checking the file? check it's integrity, if it has viruses, what? Be more specific if u want someone to help you. But u can see what the file looks like after it's installed or u can install it on you're memory card by using UnMakeSis.

Now I notice there are many discussions and disagreements about the optimum, here's what I can offer. I hope this thread get sticky-ed, so that everyone can benefit from it. However, if you are a newbie, and just wish a no-hassle setting, just scroll to the bottom of this post, under section "Hitman3's Ultimate Guide : Converting Videos For Dummies"

Now deciding what setting is best for your videos with smartmovie converter is as easy as ABC. No kidding. Please refer to the screenshot below. It depends on TWO factors only :
1) Format of the source file
2) Nature of the video (MTV, short movie, documentary, etc)

1) Format of the source file
- This is the EASIEST. If it's from 3gp, mp4, 3gpp or any other compressed format, just use the HIGHEST setting for video bitrate. Why? Because it's already compressed. If you use lower setting, you are going to get ugly, pixelated and grainy output. So use as high as possible, however I must remind you about realplayer media format (.rm or .rmvb). Under no circumstances should you use highest setting for those files, as it will cause the file size to **** to humongous size. (realplayer media uses different compression and encoding technology). Treat realplayer media files as the rest of the uncompressed file.

2) Nature of the video
- Now this is not too hard either. If you are converting MTVs or any other videos that sound or voice is important, just crank up the sound bitrate. If you are converting CG movies, in-game cinematics, animations, etc. you might want to up the video bitrate setting. If you are converting non-action non-explosive sound effect movies such as dramas and documentaries, you might want to turn up the sound bitrate and lower the video bitrate.

Video settings
Reduce Frames (circle 1) : If you turn the "Automatic framerate control" on, don't bother to tinker with this option. Other wise, refer to Clip Info (circle 8 ). If the FPS (frames per second) is anywhere less than 18fps, DO NOT ENABLE "Reduce frames". However, if the FPS is anywhere 21fps and above, enable "Reduce frames".
Bitrate (circle 2) : Now this is a bit tricky. Generally, for optimum quality and file size ratio, consider the following guide. I would recommend a MINIMUM of 112kbps. As I point out above, if you're converting MTVs, CG movies or any movie where there is constant special effect (such as Final Fantasy Advent Children, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Star Wars), 128kbps offers optimum quality and file size ratio.

Audio setting
Force mono (circle 3) : On most common phone, you would not be able to differentiate between stereo and mono. Even if you somehow possesses a extreme hearing, it's insignificant. So just enable force mono.
Frequency (circle 4) : Just set it to 16000 Hz. Technically, most common phone can output maximum of 16000 Hz. So if you set it higher, you will not notice the difference.
Bitrate (circle 5) : I recommend a minimum of 32kbps up to 64kbps. If you need a better quality, I would recommend not anymore than 128kbps which is CD quality based on mp3 codec.
Volume boost (circle 6) : Generally, use 200% unless the video is too loud.

File size (circle 7) : Generally, a optimum quality vs size ratio should be approximately 1Mb plus or minus for 1 minute of video.





what about if we suggest to use "Xvid M-peg 4 codec" instead of using "Xvid Encoder"...

it will give ur video as well as audio a gr8 clarity .....

setting: (download the Xvid m-peg codec which is attached to tis thread)
1) double click to install.
2) open your smart movie converter
3) click on "configure" button
4) click on scrow down button and choose Xcid M-peg4 codec
5) click on option button
6) from "main setting" - profile @ level change to "advanced simple @ L1"
7) change "maximum quality" from 4.00 to 5.00
click ok
9) click "close" to close the video codec configuration
10) uncheck "reduce frame" but remain all the other setting.
start to convert and see what is the different...
