I have 2 pcs Motorola V220 - not power on fault.

It was crazy problem , solution :

Disassemble phone, open shielded, unsolder out - big transistor /under shield/ and solder back.

Phone power up normally.

I test this crazy solution on 2 pcs V220.

Work

Yeah. This tranzistor sometime becomes too hot and consumate lot off electricity. But first-he is only for charging part and second-you cannot repair it just with solder desoldering.Your phone wil be dead again-soon!

Hi ,Buddy

Great finding!:D :D This is not the final solution for this V220.THis problem is due to defective Flash IC,I think the hot air heat the IC ,some of IC will work again ,some not.Next time reheat the IC to try!!!!!!!!

Hi bro! I have same problem with V220. It was dead. After reflowing board, it start, but only when it decide own mind. It power off accidentaly. I think another reflow will be helpful, but... will try, and post results.
