Leds are always on also when GSM is switched off. Phone is working fine but eating power. Any suggestions? Maybe transistor. Which one?Thanks,Peter. <img src="redface.gif" border="0">

check the 6 leg lamp and sound ic located at the front side near bottom, usually marked with DOB, also check the pinout connector, good luck

Thanks Genocite, Checked them out. Removed connector and cleaned pcb under it but no succes. Must be a short or something like it. If I compare it with a other C35i it looks like the leds are burning half power. Any other idea?

brutall ... open all ur phone's bga, clean it and put it back (or change it) or ... immerse ur phone in thinner for a night, teehee <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> .. good luck

ooppss, i forget to say, have u change the six leg ic ? a broken ic with leaking light couldn't be solved by just open it and clean the pcb under it, u have to change it

The control signal to transistor is coming direct from CPU.Sorry...but seems you have to change it.

Genocite is right. I took the leg from the IC that feeds the leds off the pcb. Result: Leds are not burning but I still have the sound. On the input side off the IC I can measure a lamp signal off 1.75 volts. Conclusion: IC is broken. <img src="redface.gif" border="0">
