View Full Version : Dongel died on update!
Hi,
I havent been using my dongle for a while and I just downloaded the new software to my new computer.
The dongle seemed to loose contact after a short while chrashing the program and next start said "Dongel error 01".
Well I reinstalled and had a new go, I noticed the button to update dongle and thought that it needed an update to work properly but it again chrased now IN THE UPDATE! Now it is dead....
When trying to send a message to Zuela through the usb smart homepage it says "Invalid serial".
What shall I do?

thats strange. you should keep trying to update. for some people it took many tries.
what is your system? intel system or amd system (amd64/sempron doesnt work).
what is your OS? windows XP is easiest.

i have the same problems on my xpc :( all 4 USB ports say me Error 1+3+4 , the back 2 port are on mainboard, and 2 front. :(
u can fix this problem , when u have a twister box :) , yes twister, connect the twister box an connect the USB Smart on Twister, than can u start all programs and the access programm, but only dont work is the update, is disconnect on 16% :( or 3,6,10% :(
There you go, my new system is a amd64. I try a Intel box, hope it works.
Yep, now it works, thanks a lot! It never struck me that AMD would be an issue.

hm...first heard that processor type has goting to do with update but most important its that works

i just bought a usb smart and when this will arrive i cannot use it on my amd 64 core venice system?

No problem, you go and get one usb-hub (powerd) and then you have no problem.

so i can figure that problems came from a bad elecrtical power on usb of some chipset, i have dfi nf4 with a good psu so should have no problem, no power loss with my system ;)
