Hallo,<br />i have here 2 pieces of 3688 with no light on screen. i know changing display will help but is it possible to repair it somehow ?
yes... you can try to change the FLAT-CABLE, but you have to find the same flat cable (same resistor and capacitors scheme and value) or a compatible one. Good luck <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
Another way is to make a bypass of the broken flat with a thin wire, soldered directly from led to the PCB connector.

The lights panel is soldered to the LCD.<br />Open top housing and check Lights panel connection.<br />If it's OK it can be LCD connector.
