How to put the code into a BlackBerry 7100v

Have tried to put the code into a 7100v for days now , but got nowhere
Can anyone confirm the exact procedure

*** Using the thumbwheel, scroll to settings and select, scroll to SIM Card
and select

*** Press and hold hash key (on the right hand side of the space bar) and
press the M key once, press the ER key once, press the OP key twice then
then press the arrow key (bottom left on the keypad) to display 123 entry
mode

*** Release the hash key and press the TY button. You are now prompted to
enter the Network MEP code


*** Enter the code and hit the enter key (bottom right of the keypad)

It should be unlocked

type MEPPD
and then MEP2

I just unlocked a Blackberry 7230, I went to options, simcard and than pressed the key all to the left down side. It has no mark but only a black half circle on top. Than it asked netwerkcode and i entered the code. Than simID was found and phone was unlocked.:)
