Usb-smart maintenance 2.1 and 2.3 seems to be 100% stable under Win98SE on my laptop configuration.
Under Win XP and Win2000 it is very unstable and many times stops with "dongle not found" error.
P2k Tool is almost stable too under Win98SE (at least that versions run under 98 at all, 'coz many versions doesn't.) Tested on v2.2 and v2.9.
In 90% launches on first try. Very rare dongle error messages.
So if you have troubles running under WinXP or Win2000 , try it under 98SE.
I think these problems could be related to improved EXE protection of usb-smart softwares or diffrerent OS usb port handling.
