I've got an Actiontec dongle and Widcomm software. I have all kinds of trouble with it.
One thing I've discovered - a lot depends on what USB port I plug it into! I had it plugged into one of my back panel ports, and I couldn't get Widcomm to recognize it - kept on getting that License error.
But then I plugged it into the front panel port, and then it was recognized, the dongle showed up in Device Manager, and Widcomm worked all right with it.
Ever had a problem like this? Is it probably the dongle or probably my USB configuration? (Via ports, heavily loaded - but today I've had the problem even when I plug directly into a port, rather than an external hub.
