View Full Version : Problems with W900 using Setool.
I know that this forum does not like when people post questions about Setool but their own forum is down.
I am having problems with W900. I have flashed it with latest FW (R5BB) using main + fs + complete + unlock. Anyway the phone hangs and shows white screen.
Tried restoration file + unlock but no luck.
What is wrong?

i have solution for cruiser
1. convert to brown
2. flash main+fs+gdfs.
3. customize fs
4. rebuild security area
5. Unlock
6. repair erom and convert back the phone to normal certificate.
should be working now!
What did Lead write? Not to overwrite GDFS!

we discussed and tried yours issue yesterday and decide that it is hw problem...
about gdfs - of course, important values stored inside specific for the phone, but difference is so small, that you can forget about it.
lead, from other side, always thinks that gdfs values is VERY different for each phone. well, let he think what he thinks ;)

I've done the same thing as mg did, but my phone doesn't show anything on it when i am pressing the power button. I've been trying to unlock/repair and reflashing it but no good luck. Those are info shown. Could you help plz?

As I can see from your log you didn't chose 'restoration' file... ;)
Just flash main+fs, with 'complete' + 'unlock after flash' checked on 'settings tab' and your phone will sing ! :) :) :)
Tested on many, many phones !!!
OFF COURSE 'NO TEST_POINT NEEDED', aldought it's CID49 phone and with any other SEMC tool you would need to open the phone and make test-point.
SETOOL ON !!!

The files are found in the "rest" folder. You match phone type, fw and region.

First..
You should have used the latest version of SEtool.
Second..
To make your phone alive, all you needed to do was a flashing with 'Rest' file, with complete phone and Change back to red color. The_laser warned before about using Recovery on CID 49 phones. It was Forbidden to do so.
If it is possible to do without TP again, get your latest version from www.setool.net/dist.rar and follow the second procedure.
