i think it is the only solution for now for Bird S199, S198, S699, S799 unlocking / repairing
But u need to send phones for unlocking, cannot do it remotely.

This cable is no so easy to build, special IC must be used and schematic much more complicated than ordinary Rx+Tx+Gnd wires.
Factory-made cables available on market now so it's much more cheap is to buy it than build by yourself.
