hi again ,
i'm not good enough in english maybe this will help you
configuration of multiprog 2001 xl
1-press F1 or F2 button until you see: 3 picprog (jdm)
2- press SELECT button and now you can see: a picture of a circuit on the multiprog lcd
and before all i hope you didn't forget to put your ic in the right socket :D
Installation & Configuration of ic prog
Unzip icprog_.zip to a directory of your choice.
Run icprog.exe.
The first time you run icprog.exe, you will be prompted with a ”Hardware Setup” screen.
Set it up as shown below.
Note, the COM Port will be automatically
selected for you, but you can always change it.
Windows 2000 users add the icprog.sys file to you system directory to run in win 2k.
Go to Settings / Options / Misc and check ”Enable NT/2000 Driver”.
Windows XP users Open a browser and select the file ic-prog.exe
Press right button on your mouse
Go to Propertties
Go to Compatibility menu
Set compatibilty mode as Windows 2000 or Windows 98 / Win ME
Press Apply icon
Press Accept icon
You need to copy icprog.sys into the SAME directory as icprog.exe.
Then you can enter in the ic-prog software, go to Settings, Options
and choose the Misc. page. There you can enable the NT/2000 Driver
it will then be installed.
Programming the PIC
Select your device (as on picture below) for eg 12C508
Select Oscillator value / eg .12C508/a use internal clock
Open the file you wish to program
For Fuse Settings see the picture below:
Click the Program icon to start the process.
Before programming a 508 chip
This fix may be required for some programmers.
Read the chip, scroll down to the bottom right address 01f8
Read the 01FFh write it down, make sure the code you are programming in has the same address. EG 0c5c
If it does not, load the code you are going to program, double click on the address a popup editing box will come up.
In the Hexadecimal box enter the same 4 characters as on the blank chip.
Now you can program as normal.
and finaly don't forget to post result
best regards
