Hi, i really need help. i have been trying to update my usb smart dongle witn maintainance v4.0 and it always quits at 28 percent, giving the ff error
Update smartcard ...
Connecting to update server ...
Working on card ...
ERROR 01
ERROR: Update problems occured
please let me know what i can do as soon as possible. i have turned off the antivirus and firewall and still getting the same problem.

disconnect and then reconnect dongle and try again, worked for me 1st time!

Try not to have any other applications running and make sure your dongle is plugged directly into the main usb hub or pc, and if still problem try using a powered usb hub!!
Hope this works - it does for many of our customers with similar problems!!

umm... well i just tried connecting via the pc usb port direct but i never get beyond 28%. aaargh!! dont have access to a powered usb hub right now so gotta look for one. any other suggestions would be mucho appreciato:)

for me is another error:

i have try many times,anybody know how to solver?

My friend had the same "28%-stop" problem and hed needed to change the dongle for a new only.

First try to update in othe computer.
If not working, try to find one dongle in your city and put your card in it and update. This will work 100%
And if you cant find this in your city, then ask other services to buy one :D
... try to find an smart card reader like is used in JAFWM and insert your card in it and work 1000%

Then try to change your internet provider.
For exemple in China i use 2 ADSL internet providers and for no one update card not working.
Only when i use CDMA internet provider the update for card is working ;)

What prolem in ISP ?
I think is not in ISP when some time is update Ok.
If team product is config is SERVER good is may be access normal.
Hope team not security policy access deny.

I have the same problem, try to update dongle & freeze's at 20% then pc crashes.
Tried on 2 different pc's & on powered USB 2.0 hub but same problem.

Try closing all other programmes and have no other usb cable/dongle inserted into pc (best to reboot pc and then only run the update tool).
If you still have problems, send dongle down to Darren (yeldar) and he will update for you!

I did what you say & all is OK now, not sure if UFS3 was conflicting with USB tool as I have it plugged in the USB port of UFS, disconnected everything, rebooted PC & now working fine.:D

I have win98se and I does,t have any problem but when I put dongle in comp. with xp dongle have big problem with communication - Maintenance_v40 sometimes comp see dongle sometimes not maybe you can try update in win98

update on the situation that sparked this off.
I just took delivery of the j.a.f. wm key and guess what? i tried using the smart card reader and the exact same problem (28% and then upgrade error) occurs. wtf? this just too much. gonna keep on trying tho. i will post any success or failures here soon as they happen. wish me Luck!
