Would someone please be able to provide me instructions on getting the 5.0.1.801 Widcomm drivers running on my Toshiba Qosmio F15?

It refuses to detect my internal BlueTooth module. Windows XP SP2 wouldn't install a driver for it either, and when I turn it on I get no hardware message.

So I can't get the Process ID with no hardware showing there.. Can anyone help me?

Mate, you'll have to use Toshiba's own Bluetooth stack 4.00.30. I'm on Qosmio G20 and could not also make these Widcomm 5.0.1.1200 drivers work for me.

i have a Qosmio G20 and a Protege R200. I can NOT make either one work :(. I did a lot of search on the NET. The build in BT module is a USB device, it need toshiba's own stack to power it on. Unless someone can find a way to turn the BT radio on, the WIDCOMM just would not detect it. Would be really great if someone can find a solution.

Yes, right you are. Seems like Toshiba’s own Bluetooth stack powers the build-in Bluetooth device. I was unable to make the build-in device work with Widcomm Bluetooth drivers (any version) and a modified INF file. Let us hope somebody will find a proper solution to this.:rolleyes:

Finally, here comes a solution for all Qosmio happy owners!! First of all, remove from your Qosmio all Bluetooth software (Toshiba, Widcomm, etc) via add/remove programs. Restart your Qosmio. Then, download Toshiba Bluetooth Monitor 2 software from http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/ta6btmonitorx.exe

Install this software and restart again. Now, you are ready to install Widcomm drivers with modified INF file. Finally, I am able to use my printer, attached to desktop PC via Widcomm.:D :)

Mmmhm, necroticism, I can install Widcomm Stack on my Qosmio G15-AV501, but the BTTray Icon keeps saying Bluetooth device not found, and yes my device is turned on. I think I am missing the modified INF file, I try adding these lines to the file btwusb.inf but it didn't worked:

[WIDCOMM.NTx86.5.1]
%TOSHIBA.Integrated.Bluetooth%=BthUsb, USB\Vid_0930&Pid_0502&Rev_1350 ; TOSHIBA VID&PID
%TOSHIBA.Integrated.Bluetooth.2%=BthUsb, USB\Vid_0930&Pid_0505 ; TOSHIBA VID&PID
%TOSHIBA.Integrated.Bluetooth.3%=BthUsb, USB\VID_0930&PID_0506 ; TOSHIBA VID&PID
%TOSHIBA.Bluetooth.Adapter%=BthUsb, USB\Vid_0930&Pid_0507 ; TOSHIBA VID&PID

[strings]
TOSHIBA.DeviceDesc="Toshiba Integrated Bluetooth Device"

I don't know if they are correct, I found them on my \Windows\inf\bth.inf.

Can you post the modified INF file??? plz!
