Sorry for my poor english

I've a generic BT 1.2 dongle, i use it to connect my pc trought my bluetooth modem included in my mobile phone.

The problem is the speed 10-12 kbyte/s. Is it normal?

Is the problem the low quality of my dongle?

Please help me!

In simple English if possible...;)

What type of phone (Nokia, Motorola...) and what type of connectivity (GPRS, 3G...) have you got.

by Bluetooth 1.2 Max.Transfer Rate is (acc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth )
723 Kbit/s = 723/8 KByte/s = 90 KByte/s with Netto ~ 90/2 KByte/s = 45 KByte/s but you have 12 KByte/s

Maybe your phones main processor ( not bluetooth) can not transfer more than 12 KByte/s

Motorola E1000 in 3G connection.
But data transfer is too slow also in "OBEX file transfer" and "Audio Gateway"
So? It's the dongle, i believe. Thanx for your help!

I have Nokia 6680 and I am getting data transfer at about 35kb/s when copying from and to the cellphone. On the Internet with 3G it goes between 40 and 60 kb/s compressed files downloading and about 10-12kb/s for web pages.
