Yeah, I was running that version for a while on my 310x but I ended up finding an address that crashed it. Fired up the software that came with the unit and put in the same address and bingo, it worked. No other maps than Canada and the US though any more. :confused:

I didn't run any setup.exe. I just copied the stuff from that URL into \Flash Disk\MioMap\MioMap (after renaming the existing one) and ran the MioMap.exe. Worked perfectly for weeks until i found that one address that crashed it.

I know absolutely nothing about Myguide so I can't help you there but for TomTom you can use any 6 version maps and use Key gen to unlock. The latest TomTom maps are version 675. They are all posted on this forum including keygen.

It is very simple: since you already have MioMap then just download the maps you need from this or many other sites and copy them into you maps folder ( normaly storage card/miomap/maps) and use demo licence posted again here and many aother sites ( this will let your unit see all the maps) and you're away.

Try this License and if it does not work you may have to "decode" maps. I can't get my hands on the decoder right now so try license first.

"Demo" is the right licence. It will work with all maps.

As for speedcams copy speedcam file to storage card/igo/poi/speedcam folder. It has been a while since I used iGo so i can't remember if you need to enable speedcams like in MioMap.

But you need the cracked version of miomap for use with the Demo licence don't you? I've tried installing the Demo license from the cracked miomap 3.2 on the non-cracked version and ISTR that I got a hardware ID changed error or some such.

Is there a Demo license that works with the non-cracked miomap 3.2?

I have a C310x and have sent it back for repair 3 times. Twice Mio replaced the active antenna section at no cost.

Most interesting is the Mio rep stated any "Hacked" units will not be repaired under warranty. If Mio needs to replace one componet and reload the firmware they will charge $100. If they replace 2 componets, i.e. broken screen and GPS receiver the chasrge is $150.

Mio rep stated their policy is that no hacked unit will be repaired under warranty. They have received units that have completely locked up due to an improper hack. All they do is reload the firmware back to factory specs and send it back to owner, at a cost of $100.

Bottom line is to be very carefull when hacking the C310x. Also use the unit for a week or two prior to hacking. Be sure it operates properly prior to dong your hack.

after the 1 march pna cracked version in my mio c250
i was lost the button to put new speedcams manual
in my map and the cockpit was not able to safe the new speedcams

the map was working ok....

Theoreticaly yes but by copying your licence to his device he may loose acces to his maps. To be on a safe side rename his licence to license-db.old and than he could use both by renaming them in a same manner as and when he needs.

Well, I tried using the camera database from the link you posted and it did not work until I decoded ot in the same way you decode the maps. just edited the .bat file.

1. Try replacing the POI folder. It may have been corupted during installation.

2. I don't realy know much about the PNA units but MioMap for PNA posted on the net didi not require hacking to the best of my knoledge but as I said I do not have PNA.

To be pefectly honest: I do not know. As a software I prefer Mio but i have not had any experience with square screens. I have seen square pictures of startup screen for iGO. Your best bet is to go to official website and chek comatability there.

I have the basemap and australia map but only the basemap will work as the australia map is apparently outdated (R.I.P symbol next to Aus map). I've found the 2007 maps to be problematic - the speed ratings are erratic. Thus the routing, based on these speeds , is problematic.

Yeh have already tried MioMap. It installs and then when it goes to load it comes up with Error: Failed to load title/loading3.bmp or sumthin like that. It seems that it doesnt like the hw6515 as i have looked on other websites and other people have problems with 6515 and Miomap. Thanks for trying

Just put maps to the folder where your other maps are usualy storage card/miomap/maps. If you PNA does not see the maps properly than try replacing license.db file with the demo one posted around this forum few times. MAKE A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL LICENCE FILE BEFORE REPLACNG!!!
BACKUP THE WHOLE UNIT IF YOU CAN.

I am not sure if you can use iGO on the PNA device because I only used PDAs.

I finally have installed hacked version of Miomap on SD and now European maps work fine (groovy: see post # 364). The maps are from 2006. I downloaded 2007 maps and license, but unfortunately license doesn’t works. However, with 2007 license suddenly began to work Israel map (maybe I accidentally downloaded Israel license instead European?). So if somebody has 2007 Europe license I’ll be very grateful. Also, if Israel map for 2007 is available it will be great as well. And finally, if somebody know how to run Hebrew maps it will be just fantastic.

I'm very new in this area and am in dire need of some help - I've recently downloaded a version of Miomap 3.2 for europe but can't get it to work on my Mio. I tried copying the files to my 2GB memory card but my Mio won't read it... What do I need to do?!?!

1st. There are two diferent version of MioMap: one for PDA and one for PNA. Make sure you have the right one.

2nd. If you device can not read card than the card is not compatable with your device or the device is faulty. Some devices do not like Hihg Speed cards. After you copy the files to the card you should just run setup.exe from the card to install the program.

Check these things and if it still does not work than you should post some more info.

I downloaded Miomap 3.2 for PDA (I have the Mio C510 - is this the right version for me?). I know that the card works because I copied the contents of the card that came with my Mio onto the new 2GB card just to see if it works and it does, so it's not the card. My Mio uses I-go and I tried to simply add maps from Miomap which I downloaded into the I-go Maps folder on my original card but I had a problem with licensing. I tried other licenses that I found here in the forum but none work... aaahhhhh!

When I insert that card with the downloaded version of Miomap that I have nothing happens (all I did was copy the contents onto the card without any modifications).

First you should hack your C510 to have an access to Windows (see discussion on GPSpassion) . Next, you need to copy hacked version of Miomap to SD as described at post # 364. I have an US version of Mio c310x, hence when I wish to run US map I just run original Miomap.exe (from flash disk) and when I want to use Europe or Israel maps I run Miomap.exe from hacked version on SD. It is not such a big hassle because you can’t drive directly from US to Europe (yet).

If somebody can explain me how to do this more efficiently, so the one version will run ALL maps I will be very grateful.

I have the Western European version and miomap 3,2 latest version - and I have tried dowlnload the "package" with map and languages containing IGO - but when I put it on the SD card it says "some maps are locked"

Can it be done or is it only for the PDA style versions of MIO it can be done?

Does anybody know what I need to run extra maps on a SD card on a MIO PNA - in which I dont have acces to a operating system and possibility to install a program.

I have tried with *.fbl file and some license.dbl files - but miomap 3.2 say they are locked. I have tried many combinations of files from this root - can it only read the newest maps and licens files?

I need to run an Israel map in english - side by side with the original western eu map that is preinstalled....can it be done?

I do not think that your device has GPS built in. You could get bluetooth receiver.

it is named risky, because it also by-passes "pocketpc" check, starts on PDA's even emulators also, etc. etc.

If you have a program installed but can not see someof the maps than it is license.db file. Download the file from the linke below and replace yours in storage card/miomap folder. BACKUP or rename your original to save it if this one does not work.

Here is the file. If younever used megaupload than enter three letters into a space and near the top right corner and click download. It will than start counting down until download button appears again, click again on it and you'r there.

I am not sure you can update the way you did. I have not tried iGO PLUS but I am sure you have to reinstall the whole thing. If you think it is just a matter of GPS receiver than when you click on map view, click on little GPS icon on the side of your screen. This is where you set up your receiver. There is "Detect receiver" option if I remember correctly.
I hope you backed-up before you did what you did!?

Hi Again and thanks for this super fast reply.

So, before I read your post, I went outside of the building and started IGO again. It showed no gps signal so I just clicked on detect. It was working its way for a while and bum GPS found!
I went back into the office and there was Error: bluetooth bla bla.

So I exited IGO.

I went on blutooth icon and turned it on. Then I entered IGO again.
It had asked me: Choose bluetooth - always choose this device square box.
I did that.

I went on search and find and IT WORKEEEEEDDDD!!! :eek:

I tested it and it woooorrkeeeeddd :D

So Im in the phase of tryin to add speedcam POI :rolleyes:

So, What I did this morning, I went into the PDA IGO file, compared with what I got on the PLUS and simply dragged it into existing folder Names and did replace...
Its like putting new clothes on Barbie. :D

Like I said im no expert and was afraid to try and reinstall all just before my trip. I have no idea how I couldve done that to start with ;)

When I come back, and in case its getting bugs, I will follow your instructions.

Perfect it means: latest maps 01.2007, no errors at all,....

I made a hard reset of the PDA and reinstalled the MioMap software.

Now, I don't know why,
- map of Sweeden is considered to be old (I have 2006.01 version)
- when I'm navigating the map fromt he 2D view, and I pass over Italy I get an error and the PDA soft resets. I have the 01.2007 Italy map.

What can I do?
If I change this map and go for the older one, will somthing change? Can you post the link where I can download the 2006 and the 2007 version?
Any idea of what is going on?

Here is your best bet: Replace all files except maps folder on your card with the ones from the link below and run setup from the root of the card. This will hopefuly fix all your problems, update your mio to 2nd May edition and give you latest european speedcams. The only problem with this relese is if you have vga screen it gets cropped but if that happens than post back and I will repost the originla Jan version.

I have C310x that was purchased in the USA - I want to install the Hebrew program and Israel maps. Please Please Please write your answer as detailed as possible: What are the exact step that should be done and where from should I get the cracked program (maps...) or whatever it is needed.

I bought a C220 US version with MIOMAP 3.2. My problem is so simple, I live in France. I was looking for French or European Maps working on my C220. But it seems to be quite hard to find a working solution. I 've found all the last Western Europe (1.2007) Maps but only the maps...
Do I need cracked exe of miomap (3.2 ou 3.3???), what licence ? Where are all these stuffs ?

You need to install a hacked version of miomap in the SD with an adequate license.db

I think I've finally got the maps to work. Am I suppose to run the iGo program in the Windows CE mode (Hacked Mode). If so, then all my maps are functioning properly. I sure it hope it works when I am in Europe.

A word of warning:

I tested 2007.07 map of Uk and the map data seams older than the 2007.01 one because there were some recent changes localy to me that were on the 2007.01 map but they are not on the 2007.07 map and it is not a postcode map. So I reverted back to 2007.01. There are also some isues with speed limit on German map that could cause some very unusual motorway changes.

I've been using iGO 2006 for a while (which I got from this forum :))
I've been trying to use it in Ireland but the map database was poor. I downloaded the updated maps (2007.02) but I have the same problem as others "Some map files are outdated".

I can't find a link to the licence.db file that still works. Can someone re-post it please?

Is that all I will need??

Just tap on the gps icon in map view and detect the receiver. You may actualy have phisical fault if this does not work.

That might me due to the fact that your GPS is not connected to the program. Tap on the GPS icon and choose DETECT for automatic detection of the GPS by the program. It has to work with no problem! :)

I'm using a GPS unit called NAVGO, however I cannot get the GPS to work anymore. Once the time limited demo ended on Sept 1st, I have not been able to get a GPS signal in Canada.

I tried replacing just the license.db file, but that has not worked, I've just gotten hardwareIDerrors. I have a shell file that tells the NAVGO to run \sdmmc\igopna.exe.

Does anyone know what version of IGO i should be getting, and how to get the license bypassed?

I loaded the maps to my SD card and everything appears to be ok untill I tap the "lock" key on the screen. The map will disappear and leave only the colored background. Any Ideas?

Try zooming out once you press lock. It might be that the cursor is in the middle of nowhere. That is the only thong I can think of. Never heard of that problem before. Try searching an address or something to see if it is finding places on the map.

3.Please select “Start-->Program Files-->File Explorer” and choose SD card as current locating device.
4.Please active Upgrade Tool.exe and click “Start Upgrade.” The upgrade process should take approximately 3-5 minutes. After the upgrade is complete, it will automatically reboot the device.
5. After reboot, please go to “Settings-->System-->System Information-->Version" to verify that the upgrade process is successful.

YOU CAN NOT CONVERT MAPS FROM ONE TO ANOTHER!!!

If you find the way a lot of peopole very happy.


Garmin maps are made by Navteq and igo maps are made by TeleAtlas.
They are very different.

Thanks a lot. This worked great (I have a US mio c520 with preloaded maps of the USA and Canada with miomaps V3.3). This is the first working navigation software and maps that I was able to find of Europe and Israel. The only problem is that I see the I-Go Software only on 320x240 instead of the original 480x272. Is there a way that you have the same program only that can utilize the entire screen of the mio c520. Your help is very appreciated.

You are amazing!

This version is perfect. I was able to replace the original MioMap V3.3 in my c520 with this one and therefore I don't need to even unlock the device in order to use the software and all the maps I can think of.
