You are amazing!

This version is perfect. I was able to replace the original MioMap V3.3 in my c520 with this one and therefore I don't need to even unlock the device in order to use the software and all the maps I can think of.

just got my MIO C520 USA v3.3 Jul 5

i download both eddie versions and put on new SD and boot and in both time it give me bad id....

What exactly did you do to make it work... (if you can do step by step i will really appriciate)

ok figured it out
1.connect the mio to the computer - no need to unlock
2.in miomap rename miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id, license.db and data.zip
3.copy the same files from eddi 520
4.copy the israel (or whichever maps you want) into MAPS,
5.make sure you have hebrew.zip in lang
6.make sure you have v_hb_m1.zip
disconnect and let it reset

1.Ok.
2.3 In your Mio - in the folder Miomap you replace original files to the Edi files - correct ?
4. Copy in to the MIo correct ?
5.If I want use it on English - do I still needed Hebrew.zip lang ?

dan you can test now, just look an address there with your mio and see if it finds it, you can also move on the map to israel and see if it shows the streets.

I'm not sure you read my earlier posts but I understand you are using Igo in Israel which version are you using the last version that works on all roads (Bikah ,443 Ect.) is 2006.1?
also how can i save POI
The POI in the newer versions are great is there a way to use them with the older maps?

i have 3.3 but 3.2 also work,
latest maps for israel are the israel2007beta that eddi got for us...
roads are all there palestinian auth is there too but marked dark cities are there but no streets main roads are tho if you are into dangerus drives :)

poi for speed cameras come as updates and they are integrated into the maps, update file is either .upd or .spud the first is for 3.2 and down and the later is for 3.3.]

if you have the cracked one all you need to do is to change your map file to the one with the updated poi and you are all set/

I got my MIO C520 (Win CE Core 5) a month ago. It's cracked as per "eddy" already. I'd want to install Destinator 7 (the soft is downloaded).
Can anybody help me in step-by-step instruction how to do it?

Well i have MIO 168 rs and currently using igo 2006 plus

soft runs smooth and very convenient .

Tried to use D-7 but looks like its a little heavy for my Mio168

also didnt like the interface .

Bottom line for me is Igo 2006 is the best solution

Its better optimized and have more friendly interface

Hi guys, this is my first post here. Let me first say this is a awesome site, lots of great info. I have been looking to find software for my Pda (dell axim x50v) which I forgot I had. Awyway I have been having a hard time finding gps related software for my PDA which incorporate full US and Canada maps. I am primarily interested in the following software.
Copilot live 7, Route 66, IGuidance 4, Oncourse navigator 6, Destinator 6 all for north america. I dont mind the europe maps but I wont be travelling to europe anytime soon.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it.

Hi, I need help with Mio C230. I'd liketo install Israel map in Hebrew. Where do I find the fonts and the voice file? (purchased the GPS in the States). I also don't understand:
1. Do I need to unlock the GPS? (after removing some of the USA maps, it didn't start - asked for the CD.)

First of all, thanks so much to all the contributors to this thread. Couldn't have got my Mio C230 working without all the input. Thanks!

A bit of a description of my situation: I'm visiting the US, but need Western European and Australian maps. I've found that getting maps isn't a problem, but being able to use them once obtaining them is problematic. I mainly used Eddi's C320 download, which is a few pages back (48 I think?). The problem with this was, when using the DATA.zip file in that package my screen would no longer display in correct landscape mode. If I used my old DATA.zip file, there were errors about not being able to find SPR files. I had a look at what's in the DATA.zip file, and it turns out to be pretty easy to fix the landscape/portrait issue.

Here's the steps (note that I did all this on the internal memory of the Mio, not on a flash stick, but from what I gather the process is identical?):

1. Backup everything on the Mio, just in case.
2. Start with a clean install of the default software.
3. Overwrite the miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id and license.db with the versions in Eddi's C320 download.
4. Extract the DATA.zip file from Eddi's download and open the file "pocket_pc.ini" in the config directory (notepad/vim/anything will do).
5. Extract the DATA.zip file from the original install and again open up the "pocket_pc.ini" file in the config directory.
6. In the original "pocket_pc.ini" file (from step 5) you're looking for a block of options that starts with [MIOC230], so do find->"MIOC230".
7. Copy that entire block of options (everything up until the next [MIO...]) into Eddi's hacked "pocket_pc.ini" (from step 4).
8. Save the file and zip up the files from Eddi's DATA.zip, along with the new "pocket_pc.ini".
9. Replace DATA.zip on the Mio with the DATA.zip you've created.

This worked beautifully for me. I believe the landscape issue was due to the lack of a specific [MIOC230] section in the "pocket_pc.ini" file, which meant the Mio would then use some default setting for all generic, unrecognised devices. So, it is probably likely that, regardless of the model of Mio (and others?) GPS device you're using, if your display is screwed and displaying in portrait mode, you'll just need to go and put some options in the "pocket_pc.ini" file that are specific to your model. The options are fairly easy to understand and create, but the pocket_pc.ini that came on the device obviously has the options, so you can just copy them across as above.

Hope I wasn't repeating other people here, hope this is of some use. Oh and all this was v3.3, forgot to mention that.

I guess this is because it is written in Hebrew character and your PDA can't read it.
If you want to be able to display hebrew character on your pda (and on MioMap too of course), just install this file :

i just installed the hebrew file on the device .. and then reset it as required ; and its still the same.. all the POI are not displayed neither in hebrew nor english; even when i transformed the whole interface to hebrew ; the POI were still not readable

Dear people, please help me. I have got a brandless :S PNA with a Demo: Igo 2006 BETA license.
I bought this 2nd hand, but now the expire date of the license has been past. What can i do?

I tried much other licenses, but or i got a hardware error id or the license is also expired. (It looks like its the same one that is on the device since i have bought it. )

What can i do? Please help and explain what to do. It also looks like the exe. file has been renamed can that be the problem? Everything is working fine, except the license is expired.

I have a Mio c710 Europe (PNA) with miomap 3.2, could someone explain me exactly how to do to install the latest maps of Western an Easterr Europe, USA and please provide me with all the links to the files I would need to install (maps, cracks etc..)

I am trying to load maps to my brand new Mio C250. I followed the instructions, loaded the maps to an SD card together with a license.db. Unfortunately does not seem to work, maps are locked. Is it possible that the license.db I can found in every download mentioned in this forum simply does not fit to the C250? Or is there a step I am not aware of? Any comment is appreciated.

I copied your 2 folders for PDA 2577, and IGO on sd card and inserted the card in ppc6700 wm5 unit. upon insertion the program was installed. when I run the program it comes back with hardware id error. I did not change the lic or anything. do you know how to fix this

i do have a question if i may
i would like to purchase a mobile phone with GPS ( and hopefully WM5 or better in it - mainly for calender)
i saw some sites quoting different models for about 200$ is it reasonable ? ( sounds too low :confused:) also i am buying it in the US and i will use it in israel , so can you recommend a model you know is nice and crackable ? ( features i would like are gps , calender sync , and errrr phone of course ;) wifi would be nice)

It has been a while i did iGo but from what I remember you must not start program after install and than do soft reset than apply cracked exe and license, good idea to reset again. If it is showing hardware error than I sugest you uninstall completely and remove any remaining folders from previous installation manualy. Than install as described above.

I do not have any other links . I switched to MioMap becasue I prefer it. The two things I remember is do not run program after install and after soft reset copy license and exe. Do not copy license before install. I did not test this so i do not know haw the Magic thing works. Sorry. If you want to have a crack at MioMap let me know.

C520 is a PNA devise, isn't it? I don't have PNA so I never actualy tested any. PNA devices appear to be a lot more complicated to crack than the PDAs.

It is for PDA and tha crack folder is insude the rar file and inside it are the files or file that you need to replace after install and first run. Well they should be because I installed with this one.

When you unrar you will see folder called crack. Inside that is just license.db file tha goes into storage card/miomap folder to replace the one already there.

Hi Eddi. Sorry to disturb again, but I do not get it. I downloaded the Israel mapds on Page 28 from *****o and also the license from Newman26. I placed the files on an emty SD card and turned on the C520 MioMapping. It came with the messages of HardwareIDerror and that some map files are locked.

The C520 has Eurpean maps and I would like to install Israel maps in English.

What do I do? What shall be copied to the SD card and?

More help please... I cannot get the speedcam's to work for Israel. Should the file be zipped or unzipped in the MIO ? I have tried both and cann't get it working - yes the options in Miomap are set for using cams etc...

Also - Have you found a way on the C520 to sync/copy contacts from either your mobile phone or Outlook ? It would be nice if I knew who was calling so I could tailor my 'Hello there' to the right person !

I am almost giving up!!!

I wish to install Israel maps on my Mio C520. I have tried many references and cannot succeed. I have copied to SD card and get 'HardwareIDfailure' and a message that some of the maps are locked.

The Igo map for Israel should work but how??.

I have a problem though - this map as other new maps of Israel seem to fail to work with C310x and hacked miomap 3.2. There are many locations, that when reached cause the device to reset. Same problem with C220 and same software.
Is there something in the maps format that changed and prevent them to be used in version 3.2?

I've downloaded a ver 3.3 software. The map works wonderfully with this.
BUT, the software does not succeed to connect to my GPS.

I bought mio c520 in the US. I currently have US & Canadian maps.
I'm trying to add Europe and Israel's maps onto an SD card.
The Miomap version is 3.3 (as I received it).
I read all 62 pages of this forum and downloaded the maps and iGO files (including License file) but the maps are still locked on my Mio. I’m also receiving an error message when the Miomaps open: “HardwareIDerror”. (When the SD card isn’t inserted I don’t receive the error message).
I tried several different License files (iGO demo 06, all world).
I tried following instruction from page 28 but it didn’t succeed.
I'm definitely doing something wrong and would highly appreciate help in the matter.

I do not think that they are much more up to date, they are probably same maps as 2007,07 just changed to suit iGo 2008. Until iGO 8 comes out there is not much point making these work on Mio.

where can i get iGo 8 for PPC, the prog itself? The version posted in previous posts are expired demos.
The previous page has a link to igo pc, might it be igo ppc instead?

Also, will the previous (latest) map versions (dated 7/2007) work with igo 8, or do i need a new map version, i'm mainly interested in israel maps?

Igo 8 is still in beta stage, wasn't officially released yet.

The latest maps for Igo 2006 are dated (most of them) 12.2007, but won't work on Igo 8. Search on filefactory, you will find them.

at first i thank for all Posts and links in this Tread. But i have a problem. I have installed a cracked Version of IGO 2006 plus on my PNA. It works allready great. But some cards are marked with a "RIP" Symbol and does not works. I have download a lot of license.db´s and IGO and MIO maps. Nothing operate. The software is complete on my PNA. Only the maps are on the SD card. The maps original are from Tele Atlas and i dont find a newer version. Can someone help me.
And please apologize my bad english. It´s only School English and 30 years ago.

Now, I would like to install the Israel map.
I managed to do so by putting the http://rapidshare.com/files/34138348/igo-C310.rar on the SD and run the application from the SD, but here is my problem:
The interface I see is very much gibrish.
The map iteself,however, is in English, which is good.
Any idea how to make the interface more human?

It has built in GPS receiver. It does not depend on the cellular network.
I have 5 different types on GPS software on it:
TomTom
MioMap
Garmin Mobile XT
CoPilot Live 7
Navigon
They all work perfectly along side.
That is why I would recomend to anyone to get PDA (windows mobile) type devices because the choice is much greater.

I am despirately searching for the cracked version of navngo igo myway 2006 plus so I can install in on a regular 2G SD card.

The POIs are stored in the device and not on the sd card.
In the device's memory go to My Documents>iGO and there are 2 files, I am trying to remember since I don't have my PDA with me but I think they are data and route, you must save these.
Any time you reinstal iGO, you need to put these files back in order to restore your POIs

Hello everybody! I am new to this forum, sorry if I ask the same question which was answered many times. Two months ago I bought in USA GPS device MioC230, easily unlocked it (transformed into PDA with Win CE and Mio 3.3 just one of installed applications) and added Canadian map, but so far can not make it working with European maps. I tried to download Mio v3.3. files/licenses from different sources, but so far nothing works. Will appreciate some expert advice

Can anyone please advise if they've managed to get Destinator 7 working on a Navigo SY-885, which when hacked (as mine is) yields the basic Win CE.NET 5.0 Operating System.

Every download I've tried I've hit one problem or another (have other GPS apps working fine, but need Destinator because I travel to Brazil & they're one of the few GPS apps that have maps of Brazil), so would be gratefiul if someone could say whether they've suceeeded or not!

Go to: http://www.i-go.com/en/products/iGO_2006_SD/download/index.php and download the manual. The Manual is in English. The layout of the buttons does not change, so using the pictures on the manual you can figure out what the buttons do with respect to their location on your screen. This way you can navigate to the menu where you can change languages. Change Language to English and you will be good to go.

I implemented rebbit's suggestion to Eddi's hack in message 815. It words very well on my Mio C230 but for the turn icons on the upper left. These icons do not appear most of the time, and in some cases they appear very small. I will appreciate suggestions as to how to fix it.

I am shopping for a new unit. Can anyone recommend a new model with the same (or better) capabilities that can be modified easily for Internatioal maps? I notice the MIO 310 is still available as a last resort.

I would by PDA type (WM5, WM6) rather than PNA device (symbian, Win CE, etc). It gives you greater choice of software and option to change if you do not like it. If I was to by PNA device it would be NAVIGON units with Navigon 7 and 3D maps.

There are europen maps for Navigon but I am not sure about hacking it because I do not have PNA. I am using PDA version.

.dem files are 3d terain files. I assume that the other two are folders for devlopers (skins, themes, custom UI etc)
