View Full Version : Cutted SIM work on LG U880?

I live in Serbia, and dont have 3 networks around here. If i ever unlock my U880, i still didn't solve the problem. My model is from Italy, and use miniSIM, and now i'm wondering, bicouse i cutted one prepaid to try it, and it says to me "insert SIM" and not WRONG SIM or INCORRECT SIM, so i wonder does the phone even see my cutted SIM, or this will be the problem, also. Will it work if i clone my SIM on GREEN II card 256k, and then cut? I read somewhere that not all SIM can be cutted, how to i know wich one? Thanks very much.
I'm not an expert nor am I sure, but AFAIK those old-fashioned credit-card-sized SIMs that don't have a detachable mini-sim-piece, don't work in newer phones (those with mini-sim), 'cos of those old cards need some different voltage level that's not supplied by the mini-sim-phones.
So according to my little knowledge, if u need to literally cut the card, it won't work as cutted :-(

i think it will work, you have the same problem with 8360 and 8380, they can`t see other sim before you unlock the phone
they say "insert sim" too before unlock, but when you unlock they see SIM and work
we need to wait solutions for unlock and than we will see for sure

I sure hope that its gonna work, 'couse i'm waiting over a month to unlock it, and who knows how much more i will wait, and if it doesnt work with MOBTEL and TELEKOM SIMs, im gonna destroy it with an axe.
Jesi li video ima li negde na forumu nesto o kloniranju kartica? Interesuje me kako da ocitam strane, 128v2, v3 itd...

...after flash phone with firmware v10b_wm**** message on display:"usim bloccata", not "inserire scheda usim"!! so, something hapend after flash. Maybe is clonning sim card solution??!!:confused:
dear friends, first do something and then come to lthe forum for discuss. this is westing of time to talk foolish.
i have one 8120 i have flash but phone insert usim card nort usim locked what is problem i check phone is ok
