Hi!
I bought this mobile in Italy (option for 499 Euro) and wanted to view our Polish DVB-H channel here in Warsaw but every time i want to enter TV application i get an error message "Invalid USIM card" - i tried with 3 USIM from Italy and situation is the same.
I know that Hutchinson is using different types of locks and one of them is Broadcast lock but i`m not sure how does it work - is it some type of application on USIM?

You must changhe your sim in a dvb-h sim..or tha phone don't work !!
So it is a matter of a special application on USIM?
the phone are locked on 3 channel and 3 usim

I`ve got 3 USIM...
i don't know if u can unlock 3 channel....the usim is different from the normal i think is a 256kb cause tim go out with 256kb sim card to watch tv here on july
Maybe but DVB-H is implemented in the phone itself so USIM can provide only authentication (CAS function, i guess) and support for this functionality.
There must be a way to use this mobile to watch other DVB channel.

I am Italian too but we can keep talking in English here.
Anyway, you need not only the DVB-H phone but also a DVB-H enabled USIM card. So if you have an "old" 3 ITA USIM card you need to exchange it with a new one.
Also, I am not sure if you will ever be able to watch other channels than those from their bouquet "La3". I have the feeling that the "broadcast lock" is inside phone firmware :(
Yeah, i`m afraid that broadcast lock is embedded in the terminal`s software. I tried contacting LG but they told me that U900 was prepared only for Hutch so no "generic" soft was developed.
I think that it is not a problem since 3 state that Broadcast lock is removable (is it a correct word? :-))
For USIM: maybe there`s a need for special, new USIM but what will be the difference? I think that it is a matter of a application on USIM, not USIM itself. Maybe i`m wrong...

I do not know technically how it works, I believe the USIM acts as any other paytv smartcard, storing keys etc., so the phone needs it to be able to access TV.
It's a matter of fact anyway that at least for now Mobile TV will not switch on if you do not have a "DVB-H" 3ITA USIM. It says "incorrect sim card" or something similar.
We are waiting for the first DVB-H phones from TIM, that will be not locked to any operator, so we can see the differences :)
I am interesting to buy a U900 to reverse DVBH modul...

It is really the DVB TV can work with no problem and with 3 USIM card..somone in italy tested it ?

I could try in the next week with free (€499) U800 and dvb-h TIM sim!
Dvb-h TV work only with Usim DVB-h.

try this one ... i`ve just flashed mu U900 and it works..but only using 128Kb sim...no free software for this..yet there is (from what i`ve read) furious box for 64, 32k sim...
