I haven't been keeping up on things lately... so I have a question I'm hoping someone will answer...

I have installed the Widcomm 5.1.0.1100 drivers on my one laptop and used the Widcomm License Patcher v1.7 provided by Phantasm... It works great!!

Now, I have a total of 3 different dongles, for 3 machines...

Is there a way to install the 5.1.0.1100 drivers already "patched" so I don't have to run the license patcher after each install? Like the older drivers, where we used the svcpack.ini trick to get the pre-patched copies to get put in place during the install process?

Can I just take the License.dat/license.reg generated by License Patcher on this PC, and put in the install directory to use when I go to the others?

Ok, so I'm an idiot... :rolleyes:

First, you need the Vendor ID (VID) of the dongle...
Launch the license patcher exe
File -> Open License File
Browse to the LICENSE.DAT included with the downloaded drivers and open.
in the device drop down, pick Unknown then fill in the Vendor ID for your dongle.
File -> Save.
install the widcomm drivers.
when done, import the license.reg (created by the patcher in the folder where your LICENSE.DAT was)...

That seemed to work for the other two... same license file and reg file.
