SL45 charger pin2 meaning

Here is the pin out of the SL45 charger:

1 GND Ground -
2 SELF-SERVICE Recognition/control battery charger in/out
3 LOAD Charging voltage in


...and here is the pin out of the C60 charger:

1 Vbatt? Power Charging
2 Gnd GND

Theoretically the two chargers are the same and have same characteristics

Does any body know what pin2 of sl45 charger is for ?

I just want to use a c60 trip charger to my sl45 by changing only the connector; btw does anybody know where can I find some spare full pin sl45 connectors?

you can use for charging only 1 and 3 pins
full connector:

I opened my siemens original car charger and I saw that pin 2 is a dead pin without wire and no function at all.

So I exchanged the c60 charger's pin 1 and 2 with sl45 connector on pin 3 and 1 and it works perfectly.
Now I have one extra original trip charger for my sl45!
