I've been looking around and can't seem to find much about them. If possible, could someone explain how these work?
All I know so far is what is said in the manual, that DB will use a stored key, is there anyway of downloading the bootkeys seperately to full flash files, or is there any way of reading them yourselves?
Any help is appriciated, and many thanks in advance.

After the first boot of phone DBSS saves phone's key in skey.bin file. In future for this phone DBSS use this key, so you not need to use testpoint every time, just once.
If you want to see all keys, you can use SKey Manager (DBSS -> Main -> SKey Manager)

So it's not possible to download these keys seperately?
The problem I face, is most customers aren't willing to have testpoint/cut track solutions done, so it'd be rather useful if you could supply the bootkeys for the phones if possible.
If this isn't possible, could you explain why (in laymans terms) please?
Many thanks again in advance.

Excuse me, but I can't understand what do you mean... The keys get from every phone which was boot by any boot-method (Auto, Firmware Bug (Manual) Testpoint or Cut track).
So it's not possible to download these keys seperately?

each phone have OWN bootkey based on hwid (hardware id ) , Flash id and etc...

these keys if im not wrong for all phones owns only Siemens (manufacturer)
each phone has its own key,
for instance.......... if you have 10x siemens MC60 you can only use the stored key from the 1st of the 10 with that same phone, you cannot use it on any of the other 9 mc60.
basically this stored boot key will only be of any use to you if you are working on the exact phone at a later date.
(not a phone with same model number, it will only work on that exact phone.)

Ah, makes sence. I thought each model had a boot key rather each individual phone.
Thanks for clarifying this for me
