View Full Version : Difference between IMEI ???????? and ?????-4
Is there difference between these two disturbed imei. ? More over imei can be repaired with out changing uem or not.???

I think they are 2 faces for one coin.
they are bad serial that forn't sim validity.
but I usually see ??????-4 for glued uem
&
I see ??????????? for non glued uem.
U can check the cause bad IMEI by mt-box
By reading UEM option if get good serial that means good UEM(no turn off after 30 sec)
If u don't get good IMEI,UEM is bad.
Usually ????-4 can be repaired without UEM change, by patching and some times a reflash could do it.
thanx for answer. but please clear me what is patching??? I have heard about mcu patching. What is patching Which mobile files are patched. what is its benefit. can anyone give detailed answer???

BECUSE MOSTALLY 1100 AND 2300 HAVE ONLY ????????????4 NEVER SEE ANY WITH ???????????????
AND ALL ANOTHER DCT4 AND WD2 I SHOW ONLY ???????????????? NEVER ????????????4

Maybe you should interchange them.
Though I dont know much on hardware, from the little I read here it seems when its ???????????????4, they say you must change UEM, and do rpl calc, etc. So I dont think ?????????????4 means Flash area & UEM is OK, but I think UEM also is Bad.
I stand to be corrected though

changing only flash IC is useless man
you must join UEM pair of the flash IC to avoid ???
or just copy PM of UEM if possible ( phone not dead) then write saved PM converted to RPL
or put a new UEM then write any RPL
