guy logged in and got his code typed it in fine, code accepted. still getting wrong sim card. when i told him to type in mepd again he gets:
SIM: UNKNOWN
Network: UNKNOWN
Network Subset: UNKNOWN
Service Provider: UNKNOWN
Corporate: UNKNOWN

The sims work on other GSM phones (siemens CF76, Motorola V555)

any thoughts?

Tell him do a full phone reset.

soft and hard reset resulted in same thing :(
