I've just did 2 successful Imei changes on a W810i with SeTOOL3 after struggling for 2 days and killing the phone multiple times. :D :D :D

For those of you having trouble....here is procedure...::

Under the Settings Tab:

Check to following blocks:

- Complete Phone
- Enable Format GDFS
- Unlock after flash
- Patch OTP<>GDFS Check in firmware
- Allow to Change IMEI when unlocking


Under the SonyEricsson Tab:

Phone type: W810

Files: W810_HK_R4CE012_MAIN.bin.cry
W810_HK_R4CE012_FS.bin.cry

Firmware upgrade pack: <Leave blank>
MISC Files: <Leave Blank>
Restore Files: <Leave Blank>
Change CID to: CURRENT (Default)


Then click Unlock/Repair

Follow instructions when needed and change IMEI when asked.

I don't know if this will make a difference but make sure your custom pack is installed.

In theory this is supposed to work yes. But Phone goes dead when I do it this way.

But i am working on finding a quicker solution. (And gonna try on Cruiser Pro)

It's not a flash file! its a restore file.:rolleyes:
And get yourself SETools3. UsbSmart is er... abit old and limited. (But good to have nonetheless) :)
