I have the latest GPS from Tomtom.
It is the Tomtom GO 910.
It has no SD card, but it has a 20GB HDD inside.
I tried to copy a compatible map to it, the Eastern Europe map.
When i try to switch maps, it asks for activation.
I tried to delete Guam mmap and copy an older (5.xx) version Guam map, but it is still asking for activation.
Any ideas how to bypass activation?
GPS looks like a nice toy, but would be great ti have Eastern Europe too.

Best regards,

Janos

Hi mate, the reason why you can't use EE map is because that map is in beta testing, and have no activation code inside. I've called Tomtom hq in Gb and they told me so.

Thanks for the reply, but i have hear about people using Eastern europe map...
Furthermore, now i have another GPS here, a Tomtom GO 300. I tried to copy other Tomtom maps on it but i can't bypass activation. (well, i was able to copy and use Guam map, but ...Guam?!)

Best regards,

Janos

Are you using the same maps for your tom tom 910 as the ones that people are using in the mobile edition or are you downloading different ones from somewhere else.
