The problem is that the i2c cable only works with older phones. The R200 and A300 have different a new pinouts. I found the flasher pinouts for A300/R200 here:
http://www.gsmhacking.com/cables/samsung/A300.jpg
But I don't know if they work to read EEPROM. If anyone gets the R200/A300 pinouts to read the EEPROM please post them in the forum.
Thanx.

I don't see what's funny. I just found the schematics, I don't know if it works. All I need is the R200/A300 pinout to read EEPROM.
didn't you try to solder EEPROM out and read it using i2c interface??

Sorry, but I don't want to open my phone and besides it has a security seal that can't be broken, or else warranty is gone.
Hello
Samsung are using two series of ARM7 MCU , 1 is VLSI arm7tdmi like SGH600,800,2200,2400,R200,A200,
another one is Conexan ARM7 like A100,A300,M100,A400 etc. only VLSI series can support the I2C bus reading! for Conexan series you can not directly read the eeprom contents you have to make a special boot loader(s37) to mcu let it do reading writing for you, I'm trying on this way now, if you have helpful information it will be appreaciate, thanks!

@Bert
Do you think Samsung N-100 have a Conexan ARM7 or VLSI?? I tryed to read the eeprom with pony prog..but it always says that there is no device connected

Hi,
The N100 is using VLSI ARM7 TDMI MCU you can get the detail information in www.arm.org or from philip web site. you can read it by i2c bus! it's 100% sured solution or you can apply the jig from samsung , to run the service program it can unlock the phone too
Are you sure its http://www.arm.org ?
Btw, i can't d/l the reader from Demom_ok page. Got 404 / file not found. Anyone got the soft? Mail me please at
rahimhd at softhome.net

hi people. i donīt know how far iīm in unlocking phones but i found may self many times crazy becouse i can read the eeprom from one phone sgh600 and i try to read other with same model but no sucsses. i donīt know what is going wrong. with sgh2400 i never could read this phones not eaver a sgh2100. i donīt know if is my computer os some thing with the pony programer. Iīd like the experts to help me please becouse i have many sgh to unlock
Samsung R200 sucsesfully read by I2C cable!
There is no matter CPU type, just little good luck and more expitience in hardware. Still in testing, but fine results on both R200 CPUs.
Dear friends, look around for new type EEPROM programmers. Lanconelly's PonyProg is very good thing, but for car-radio decoding. For phones (R200 in our case)it is incompatible.
Best regards
Assen
what is a schematic for conecting eeprom to I2C bus,leg 1 of IC is shortly connected to leg 8
but in Ponyprog connections the schematic is different
