Can Siemens AX72 do SMS via PC

I can't find a C55 FUBU for my A57 so im dropping that one.

I can buy a Siemens AX72 or an Alcatel OT-E-157 , i would prefer ethe AX72 as it fits same cable as the A57 , RS232 Clone.

But can any of those phones send and receive sms via datacable.

The A57 can not (it has been disabled in sw).

I have just tested the AX72 , and it works.

My homebuild cable is seen by the phone as a DCA-510 if i connect Pin5 to Gnd via a 10k resistor. I was actually expecting it to be seen as a DCA-500 but i don't know how to connect Pin 5,6,7 for that.
It seems like the AX72 won't "play" if i dont connect pin5.

Well i might give the A57->C55 conversion a shot .....

But would like to use the new cutpoint if possible , its on top layer.

Connect pin 5 and 2 with 10k Resistor your cable will be recordnized as DCA-500
Connect Pin 2 and Pin 5 with a 10k Resistor and also 2 and 7 witha a 10k R your cables will be recordnized as DCA-510
Shortcircuit Pin 2,5,6 and 7 and your cable will be recordnized as DCA-540.


I never tried the Layer 1 TP. I've got Martech or use the Layer 2 one :)
