I'm a new member as of today. You need to connect your phone via USB. Set the phone for file transfer mode. Open your memory stick on desktop & look for a folder called private then follow the posted instruction above. I just got AED installed in my P990i earlier. So far it is working good.

my firmware is still CDA: CDA162008/75 R3A02. it says update not needed as software is the latest that i have. i read a post somewhere that said this.

"However, I went to 1 of Sonyericsson service center to ask about this issue, they said that not all P990i can upgrade to R9 and the phone being lock is not an issue, thus can be upgraded when its available."

I can confirm that SonyEricsson has an new update available for the M600i and the "World Generic 1" firmware (not the Vodafone Live! compiled firmware) via the Update software and cable. The versions are:

Phone R9EC001
Bluetooth R3A01
Organizer R5B02
CDA R5B02

I can say. I always update my P990i to "World Generic 1".
Changes:
- faster
- errors become to minimum (not every week I see it :) )
- add soft "Operative" - not very useful, but still... Like bookmarks to Internet, links I meen.
- bluetooth much more faster
- Loud connect working now
- Voice control recognize more clearly

May be something else too, but it so, as I can observe.

Install Tweak peaks, it will improve ur phone by 60-70%. Really fast.

I am sorry to say that TweakPeaks doesn't really add a lot...

First of all, it seems that if you install SwissManager Pro 1.41 it contains the blacklisted key, so forget about having these two in the same phone.

When I first installed Μπόσχου , I did notice the speed-up of the GUI due to the lack of animation. But upon a phone reboot, this was not so evident, although the option was "checked" inside TweakPeaks when I ran it again. I don't think for the latest firmware, TweakPeaks really does the job...

here is the trial-hack Lcg jukebox UIQ 3

1. install lcg jukebox
2. run it for few seconds
3. now go to c/system/data using swiss manager pro
4. find file prcparam.tok
5. copy this file elsewhere say to memory stick
6. when time limit is over u can copy back prcparam.tok from memory stick to c/system/data, now u can use it again
for those who already exhausted limit should uninstall lcg and delete manually file c/system/data/prcparam.tok and then reinstall lcg jukebox again and repeat steps 1to 6.

About incompatibile macromedia version...
I installed the latest version and the SEUS software will still complain about the macromedia version. But in the c:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ path there is NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe. Just start it and it will check and download really latest macromedia update. For me this worked well...

The first version of Swiss Manager had the autostart option, but then we have integrated the ability to autostart any program in our BootMan product. every one. I'm a new guy in this forum. I downloaded World Mate 2006. When I unzipped it with Winrar. I see another Winrar archive inside the folder. So how do I install it in my P990i? Can I transfer the whole folder by Bluetooth, USB cable OR remove the memory stick ( place it in car reader ) and install by PC file Manager? What about update? World Mate does have wheather function included. If it's can't update. The feature will be no use just like Handy Wheather ( got serial by keygen but can't update )
I would be real thankful if some one can reply my message about World Mate installation.

I guess that may be the reason why my P990i touch screen didn't respond after I installed it. It shows the beginning page after loaded. When I clicked register, or about, nothing happen. I tried so many times so I clicked exit ( did respond ) Finally, I got so frustrated & uninstalled it.

There are many programs like WorldMate and Tweakpeaks that no longer work on the P990i after the new firmware upgrade, however they still work on M600 and W950. Not sure why but they just no longer work with the serials/keygens given.

Even if you've had your phone unlocked; why??... well, after unlocking your phone, it will still have the same CDA # and this CDA # tells SE update service that you are on the Orange UK network or whomever you are with. These service providers tell SE (Sony Ericsson) to block firmware updates. The only way to get around this (and it's only just become available) is to to use a piece of software called KulanKendi (http://www.kulankendi.com/index2.php) to change the CDA # of your phone to World generic 1 or 2. This software operates on a credit system and in order to change the CDA it costs 6 euros. once you've paid your money you will get a uid & pass to plug in to the KulanKendi client. After following the instructions you will be able to **** your horrible operator branding out the water and get up to date with the latest firmware. Hope this helps. For more info on KulanKendi see the sub-forum on this site - http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=390. . To my knowledge this is the only way of sorting the problem so far. LaterZ;)

my firmware is still CDA: CDA162008/75 R3A02. it says update not needed as software is the latest that i have. i read a post somewhere that said this.

amarshah, that's what it tells you "thank you" . try to check it again and you will find out that the register option is still there, not a CONTINUE button. if it does show you a CONTINUE button, quit the application then re-run and recheck. if it is a CONTINUE button still, then it is the right serial.

i dont even think an imei based software is a good idea for us consumers. if i lost my p990i and i bought another one, we have no choice but to pay them 5$ just for an imei based serial? lol. oh well...

Try the following:
Install SMPro 1.0
Register with serial you guys have got.
UPGRADE to SMPro 1.3
UPGRADE to SMPro 1.41
UPGRADE to SMPRo 1.45

My SMPro 1.45 works fine on latest FW (p990).

Try the following:
Install SMPro 1.0
Register with serial you guys have got.
UPGRADE to SMPro 1.3
UPGRADE to SMPro 1.41
UPGRADE to SMPRo 1.45

That serial doesn't work for SM ver.145
I'm currently using SMP 1.43 so I downloaded this 1.45 & installed. The phone suddenly restarted itself. SMP asked to register again when I opened it. I found out the key of 1.45 is identical to 1.43. This may be the reason why SMP doesn't work. My phone software is R9EA001 ( updated in Jan this year ) So I uninstalled 1.45 & re-install 1.43. SMP is working fine again.

About incompatibile macromedia version...
I installed the latest version and the SEUS software will still complain about the macromedia version. But in the c:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ path there is NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe. Just start it and it will check and download really latest macromedia update. For me this worked well...

I still have this kind of problem and im using w950i. I tried to launch the seus from the pc suite. It cant detect any of it. I tred to launch from the desktop shortcut, i got the incompatible flash version even i tried the above method

Hey M600i users
here is the trial-hack Lcg jukebox UIQ 3

1. install lcg jukebox
2. run it for few seconds
3. now go to c/system/data using swiss manager pro
4. find file’s prcparam.tok & updman.par
5. copy this 2 file elsewhere say to memory stick
6. when time limit is over u can copy back prcparam.tok & updman.par from memory stick to c/system/data, now u can use it again. (Remember first delet files from c/system/data and then copy files from memory stick to c/system/data
for those who already exhausted limit should uninstall lcg and delete manually file c/system/data/prcparam.tok & updman.par and then reinstall lcg jukebox again and repeat steps 1to 6.

Hey guys, I found the WMP 2006 from the other site. I installed it without using activation code. All I did was using my email & create a password and click REGISTER. I immediately went online to get update. It has been 4 days already ( update the weather 2 times a day ) So far I haven't seen the Expiration date any where on the software. It also doesn't say it is a trial version too. I think it should be good.
The site I got it from called www.gsmlover.com (http://www.gsmlover.com) so go get it before it's too late.

wow, seems like gameloft has a phone version for its games. the brothers in arms3d and asphalt 3d (since the ones i saw were for m600) doesnt show the whole screen in p990i. guess m600's screen is bigger than p990i. and i couldnt find a way to exit the game in brothers in arms 3d nor start playing with it. both are full games tsk

If you are running Swiss manager, turn it off. So run divx player without swiss manager running and your problem will be solved.

That's what I told every one here. I used my own email and create a password and my WMP 2006 still able to run update. Just remember don't use the key came with it then it should be fine. Will it last for whole year just like the real one? I don't know. Let see!

If you already have an older version installed on your phone be sure to uninstall it first or else you can corrupt your memory stick.

Copy ALL the files to the root of your memory stick. Follow the instructions given in the TomTom 6 thread on this site, if you are not sure how.

As far as i know you can play any xvid file without converting, downsizing, or other manipulations with the video file. You just put avi file into the phone and the player should be able to play it as it is as long as the file of compatible format.
