Hello Guys, Must say this is a great forum!!!!

I have music video files on my W950. They work smoothly, and quality is good!!!

The program i use is WinAvi to convert my files. You have a choice between MP4 or 3GP. I have tested both: MP4 has slightly better quality, but is bigger files. 3GP has good quality, and small filesizes. I wanted to get more files on my phone so have chosen 3GP.

The files start at MPG, AVI, 45-55MB size, approx 720x480 ish.
I then encode them using the 3GP, re-encoding at 320x240, and average quality. They take 1-2 mins to encode, and the files are 5-7MB big.

The reason that i do this instead of putting the original on the phone is that a 55MB file will take much longer to load than a 7MB file, and to be honest the quality isn't much different.

Remember, it is only a phone, and not a desktop PC. The technology isnt that quick yet.

My turn to share something, found these on a chinese website though they are in english. Those that already have them sorry those that do not enjoy they are great games. Interstellar flames is a huge opengl game like 5mb and you can not do ANYTHING else but play the game nothing else can be open.

Interstellar 3d i would say is designed for p990i considering when you click on layout it shows a picture of the p990 tho it takes a bit of getting used to using the touchscreen they could have used buttons and made it more responsive.

I have others too that I have not uploaded yet, still seeing if they work ok etc those that I posted all work great and are cracked. Im currently playing with ghost recon advanced war machine will upload it when ive made sure its working properly.

yeah, they all work in p990i. they run. but it wasnt designed for p990i that's what i meant. they work great with flip closed mode but the problem is the whole screen doesnt adjust. i tried using stylus and i had a hard time with brothers in arms. massive snowboarding was ok all fo them werent designed for p990i use just as the file says (for m600) hehe

Many people have request PDF+ full, but I don't see it anywhere :( Is it avaible or not ?
Because I've many pdf with about 100 pages, and with the demo version of PDF+, we can't jump to xx pages, we must jump from each pages manually :( :(

download all parts to your pc and open first part of them, you will see some files there, select all and extract(move with mouse) them to desktop,one of this files has .sis or .sisx extension so you can install by your pc or you can send this file to your mobile and install via phone....

The problem is when you hae a .sisx you can't install it on P990 because the installation application accept just sis or .jar

@all who is having trouble:

My SMPro 1.45 works fine on latest FW (p990).

Try the following:
Install SMPro 1.0
Register with serial you guys have got.
UPGRADE to SMPro 1.3
UPGRADE to SMPro 1.41
UPGRADE to SMPRo 1.45

This was the route i followed, and my 1.45 is working happily with original serial. You can skip a few steps, but I'm not sure if that will help. You might get 'unregistered' that way..


Sorry for my English. This soluce works for 1.43 but no for 1.45. After upgrade to 1.43 the phone says " thank ", reboot and ask again " Register please" ... I'm in R9EC001

this is a good program and i'm able to successfully install and run this on my phone (P990i). the patch is good too.


however i'm having some problems with the CSV file it exports.

exporting the messages as a CSV file and transferring it onto the PC is not a problem, but when i tried to import the CSV file onto Microsoft Outlook 2003 i get this error:

"A file error has occurred in the Comma Separated Values (Windows) translator while initializing a translator to build a field map.
Outlook was unable to retrieve data from the file C:\\Documents and Settings\...\MessageStorer.csv. Verify that you have the correct file, that you have permission to open it and that it i not open in another program"

i've tried to troubleshoot this as much as i can, even reinstalling Outlook. i'm still getting the same error. i tried to see if i can import any CSV file in my Outlook and they import just fine. its only the CSV files from Best Message Storer that doesnt come through.

any help please? :(

Unfortunately the video recorder is not that good...:( it can record video in only 15fps in QVGA resolution...in comparison with other SE models, P990i records far better video (i think that only W900i has better video quality than P990i recording in the same resolution but in 30fps).To be frank, i dont really care about the video resolution and the fps of the video coz i think these cant be changed.But i think you can improve the video quality changing the bitrate.Using a program called MediaInfo i checked the specs of a video recorded from my P990i.Its bitrate was 380Kbps...other phones like Samsung D900 and Nokia N93 record video at 900kbps and 3Mbps respectively...I was used to have Nokia 6600 and i had installed an application called Philips Camcorder.This application changed the video format to mpeg4(from 3gp) and unfortunately reduced the fps from 15 to 7.5.But..., the video quality was reaaally smooth and clear.Of course i dont ask my P990's video recorder be as good as D900's(CIF at 30fps) or N93's(VGA at 30fps), just better than it is now.Btw if there is any wrong in this text please let me now, thanx again.

guys: i got this from ipmart.

Don't know whether anyone of you has already encountered this, but for me, both swissman and tweakpeaks aren't working since the trial has expired, despite registering them.

That's why I figured out which files are holding information about the installation time of these apps so we can succesfully restart trials over and over.

The proper procedure is here:

1) Uninstall the application.
2) Open X-Plore or another file manager
3) Find and delete
a) c:\system\data\sysper40.dat for TweakPeaks
b) c:\system\data\sysper58.dat for SwissMan Pro
4) reinstall the application

I have tried it with Tweakpeaks and it WORKS!

you can't be sure that it would revert to the locked state. If you start the update and SE update displays something like "Vodafone UK Update", then it might lock the phone. as for my work, here's my latest tip:

This is something that happened to me twice, it can bother you A LOT.

The problem is that there can be some residues of old applications
which was deleted uncleanly or lost during update from memory card.
They can cause the installation dialog of these apps popping up on
the phone startup and while installing other applications.

This is a working solution which I figgured out:


Find this directory on the MS:
d:\sys\install\sisregistry\

it contains directories that correspond with UIDs of installed applications.
Each of these has .ctl file in which you can determine, which application
has this UID.

Find all records of applications you don't have installed and that cause troubles described above and delete them.

Now we want this folder:
d:\private\10202dce

Here are stored .sis files named by app UIDs.
Again, delete those that don't correspond with installed applications.
(you can tell by comparing with previous folder.)

Next step:

In folder d:\private\
should remain only these folders:
10003a3f
10202dce
20003970

plus those named by UID of properly installed applications.
Anything besides that should be deleted.

If you manage to do all this and not to delete anything you shouldn't,
problem's solved

they said it's because of se's firmware. even with the latest, it didnt solve it. but they did have a fix so whoever bought one, please ask for a new version and post them here hehehehe

In the matter of fact, this is 1.30 version code. It won't work on 1.45 as well as 7200A8B07380 won't which is a code for 1.42.

I've read somwhere that by installing registered swissman versions one over another in the original order (1.0, 1.3,1.43,1.45) can be 1.45 forced to work, but I didn't try it and frankly, i doubt it.

I believe you might have downloaded a program for your phone which is compressed using WinRAR. If so, you need to extract the .rar file and then see if there's a .sis file that can be installed into your phone. If you don't have WinRAR to extract the file, you need to download it first.

I believe you might have downloaded a program for your phone which is compressed using WinRAR. If so, you need to extract the .rar file and then see if there's a .sis file that can be installed into your phone. If you don't have WinRAR to extract the file, you need to download it first.

The code does work. First I uninstalled the V.1.43 just to be safe then I checked the registration part. It already said " The product is registered " But since all you guys said click " about, cancel & exit the program " I thought I better follow every one's method so I did the same thing. To be sure 100% I re-booted my P990i. SMP v.1.45 IS WORKING 100% NOW!

I use this from times to times on my p990. It isn't exactly "super stable", in the end it's still just java, but for simple tasks well usable.

Sony Ericsson Update program checks your ip and detect your country and some countries are not available for latest firmware update (i know that it is a bullsh*t) but i've read something about using proxy to update your phone.i couldn't remember so much but its name can be "hide ip platinium"

you can connect internet with this program and let it choose a empty proxy from usa,turkey,spain or russia and run update service again.
the latest firmware is r4b03 and i think it is da best (bugless)

Burakpadir, you have a branded phone, so if you want to update your phone to the latest firmware you need to debrand it because the latest firmware only available for the world generic CDA. Have a look for kulankendi application that will help you to debrand your phone.

I bought the Advanced Device Lock like a week ago. I wanted to share it with everyone here but the problem is it doesn't include a serial code. I was given a special web adress where I download a keygen or something that only works on my phone. I don't know if I'm explaining this the right way. I'm just not very savvy when it comes to these things. I checked out the Kulankendi site but when i downloaded the kkclient.exe application my antivirus software stopped the download informing me that the kkclient.exe was infected with: Packed.Win32.CryptExe virus

Any other ideas?. if you have a clean copy of the KKclient.exe software, do you mind uploading it to this forum?.

As far as I understand it, the latest version that supports the P990i is the Oxygen Phone Manager II v2.13 for Symbian OS phones. However I have NOT been able to locate a crack/patch for it to turn it into a full version.

Does anyone know where one can find the "full version" for the above s/w?

Handyweather have an IMEI based unlock code, so if i send to you my p990's imei what you do, you put my imei in a keygen and obtain my unlock code? So, why do you not share your keygen instead of trying of pluck us?

I dont have any keygens.. all keys I got extra and would like to sell to return money back are legal, that's why I have paid for them, and you can register your programs for future upgrades.. as i did.. for these programs and for other programs I ordered before..


the IMEI code is not necessary ... just checked with my phone .. and it works.. the key is unique.. it is not possible to use the same key for 2 and more units at once..

cracks for handyweather had been out a long time ago. the problem was updating the forecast online because their server could detect the software used as not original, hence we are unable to update.

SE update software reports when launching ' incompatible macromedia'. I installed macromedia flash8. Still no same report. Can any one pls help me to update it?

Right-clicked SE Update Service icon and select properties. Go to Advance and chose Compatibility to select Windows 2000. Then apply and OK..

That should get the Update service to work..

Guys I experienced the same error.. ie Flash Player not installed or wrong version revert to SE for latest version.. I just managed to get that solved and SE Update Service working after Compatibility tweak.

Sorry
