SE update software reports when launching ' incompatible macromedia'. I installed macromedia flash8. Still no same report. Can any one pls help me to update it?

Guys I experienced the same error.. ie Flash Player not installed or wrong version revert to SE for latest version.. I just managed to get that solved and SE Update Service working after Compatibility tweak.

Right-clicked SE Update Service icon and select properties. Go to Advance and chose Compatibility to select Windows 2000. Then apply and OK..

That should get the Update service to work..

Guy, its true! ;) Because I have a Czech localisation. If you have only english version (without Czech language), you have more RAM... But i wrote here my free RAM primarily for idea about changes in new firmware R9F011 - that this new firmware has worse RAM for first look, but built-in apps are quicker...

I just need a confirmation if the problem is only mine or not. I just updated my firmware to the last build (10.04.2007) and then installed Swissmanager 1.45. All good so far. Then I have just the icon of Swissmanager on my screen. Tapping on it suppose to bring the Swissmanager context menu, but it doesn't. Actually the menu is created but not shown somehow. And the icon dissapears from the screen. I have to use the internal task manager to swich to Swissmanager and then I can see it (including context menu). Please tell me if it is only my phone or some kind of incompatibility between Swissmanager and latest firmware.

Think I got mine from there (not 100% sure to be honest), after a couple of tries it worked on my M600 but in no way you can record or change directory setting. I tried with the original one and everything went perfect. So crack seems incomplete.

Ya, I downloaded the Alon Audio Recorder from ipmart. Like I said, it does work with my W950, and I can change the directory. Recording works fine if you play with the equaliser. You can change directory by choosing from the drop down list on the top right hand corner.

there are two sis files in both the SMS spam manager as well as Advanced Call Manager. I tried installing the Spam manager. Once said either to activate or use on trial. On trying to install the other file, I got a message saying that it has a protective UID and i was unable to install it.

How do you get around it?

probably they had to sign it first before the crack can be usable. i read articles before how to sign stuffs manually.. but anyway ill post once i get a response

there are two sis files in both the SMS spam manager as well as Advanced Call Manager. I tried installing the Spam manager. Once said either to activate or use on trial. On trying to install the other file, I got a message saying that it has a protective UID and i was unable to install it.

How do you get around it?

Try a simple trick. Change your date below 1 march 2007. Example set to 1 Jan 07. Then try to install it. After that, just set back your date.
Hope this trick work 4 u.

First of all SORRY for deviating from our main subject, but I am sure this can be a common concern among many newbies here like me :)

I would appreciate, if you can kindly clarify the following doubts with respect to updating the new firmware on P990i:

1) How or where should some one look to know whether there is a new firmware update available for P990i? (I can surely check in forum posts here...:) but what I am asking is...is it mentioned somewhere in Sony Ericsson website etc?)

2) What are the things that you lose when you do the firmware update on P990i? Do you need to take a full backup (including applications)? but will they work if you try to restore them after your phone is updated with the new firmware? What are the things that you can restore without any conflict?

3) What happens to the installed applications every time you update your firmware on your P990i? Will they be removed so we need to install them again? Also can they stop working in the new firmware?

I would appreciate if the senior and expert members here can help me with the answers to my questions above.

2)before updating firmware make a full backup of your phone
3)after update make a restore to your phone4)after restore you have to install the apps that didn't restored (the restore process is not very good...it doesn't restores all your apps and some of the settings...)

My experinece say that it's not a good idea to make a full backup. It increases the probability of failing either backup or restore process.
Don't backup media files (probably have them somwhere else too anyway) and don't backup any 3rd party applications. Reinstall them manualy after update&restore.

Therefore it's a good idea to backup some important aplication data directly in given applications. Once they're reinstalled, you can restore the data.
This goes especially for Handy Safe (can synchro with PC app) and SwissMan Pro which can backup your favorites.


And one more thing. There were some questions about invalid macromedia error while starting SEUS some time ago but I didn't see a solution anywhere.
The same just happened to me so I'm offering a solution:

Now run SEUS. It will work. (May need computer restart first.)

I installed skypi two days ago over the last FW. It is possible to log in.
To select a contact and to make an action see below:
FLIP CLOSED
Click on up arrow several times till the blue bar comes over the desired contact, click "More" and select your action.
FLIP OPENED
Just tap several times under the last contact, on the empty part of the screen, till the blue bar comes over the desired contact, tap the arrow near "iSkoot" on the top of the screen and select your action.

I have other problems:
There is no posibility to chose the connection (it works only over GPRS and I would like to work over WiFi)
If I call the handset from the computer I receive all the time "busy". I can call the computer from the handset.

So, if anyone has more experience will be welcome.

Sorry, maybe someone has asked thisalready, but how do you sign the SIS file? I have got the DevCert, but i'm cant fing the .csr file that the wizard wants. On the symbiansigned.com i cant understand where can i get the PKCS#10 formatted certificate request file.
I'm a bit confused here.
Could anyone help me out?

Yes this serial does work for SMP 1.50. But I didn't go for SEUS.I uninstalled 1.45 first then installed 1.50 & typed this key. IT WORKS! It is only one letter ( B for 1.45 ) different.

Try this ...

1) Uninstall the application.
2) Open X-Plore or another file manager
3) Find and delete
a) c:\system\data\sysper40.dat for TweakPeaks
4) reinstall the application
5) register with 41734

It works for me now!
