Your phonebook is in the phone itself, not on the SIM. Afaik all Nokias support contacts copying to'n'fro - find something similar to
Phone book > Options > Copy contacts

Basing on http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/6510_usersguide_en.pdf
pp. 39-40 you have
1) 'Names' in main (standby) screen. Select it (right softkey);
2) Then find the item 'Copy'. Select it;
3) Select the copying direction "From phone to SIM";
4) Select "All";
5) Choose "keep original" for safety reasons;
6) Wait.. after the process finished you will have the copy of the phone book on the SIM.
7) Insert SIM in your new phone. If you can see your contacts - Ok, if not - find the menu item of copying from SIM to the Phone.
