Run Sony serv.soft. v2.0 from Andromeda.That SW can unlock 8,2 but not 8,5.If phone isn`t 8,2 SW will not kill phone.If phone is 8,2 phone will make short sound and unlocked.Didn`t test by me but my friend test that.He had same problem like you.I test sw with ver. 8,2 and work,but I alredy know that is v 8.2

Hi, if you need it i have Sony CMD C5-2 by Bontek for v8.5 i cant tell you if its working i don't have test it, but if you need it mail me i wil sent to you.

Bontek soft for v8.5 works, but not on all phones. I unlock 4 phones and 4 not...why? i dont know :-(

Hi friends i use all prgs. for unlock but nothing also Bontek, i think that my problem probably is the cable because i use cable for Z5/Z18/C5. :(
Use "standard" cabelwith max232
Keyboard
1 5 9
- - - - - - - - -
O
- - - - - - - - -
10 14 18
1 and 10 = GND
5 = TX
14 = RX
Use Andromeda v2.0.Phone is off.Run it and go with cursor to CMD5.Enter ;)
Work with v8.2 100%

I draw corect pin out but it isn`t displayed good.
Just counting pins and conect it like I write.Keyboard is up and counting from left to right.Upper pins are from 1 to 9 and down pins is from 10 to 18.
I hope you understand. :(

I HEARD THAT SONY MODIFIED FOR 8.5 BY BONTEK IS WORKING ONLY FOR SONY CD8.5 WITH DEUTSHLAND PROVIDERS!!
BUT I AM NOT SURE

I try another it turns with Andromeda 2.0.

If you sucessfull unlock your CD5 you will need to use program to repair battery

Try somebody soft "Trace tool".
I read on the net that working with Sony CMD-CD5 v8.2. I try this soft for v8.2, but don't works. I have solutions for Sony CDM-CD5 v8.5 for soft "Trace tool".
Write somebody your experience with Trace tool.
