i tried this out as directed by the manual and it never did show the customized menu. i don't know what the deal is. did you get this working on the BJ? if so, please elaborate any that is possible.

(edit)- i got this to work. you actually have to place the folder/file combo in two seperate locations. at least that's the only way it worked for me. i tried it in just one location, then the other and neither worked on their own. it had to be in both places. anyhow, the "flip screen upside down" button worked and everything flipped over and looked great. only remaining problem that i can complain about now is that when i close out the prog and restart it, it reverts to being upside down and you have to flip the screen every time you start up the prog. surely there has to be a way to start the prog in the right screen orientation. anyone have any ideas?

anyone have a regedit to fix this prob?

Here it is:

1. If you have bluetooth gps receiver turn it on and place it somwhere where iy can get signal ( preferably outside)
2. Start your TomTom and tap on the main screen to get the menu.
3. Look for icon "Show GPS status" and tap on ot.
4. Tap "Configure" button and select the type of receiver you have.
5, Select the port that your gps receiver is conected to ( If it is built in receiver than select "other NMEA receiver" and that is normaly on com1) It will normaly say by the com port BT GPS or the name of your receiver. Select that port.
6. It will now go back to status screen and show grey lines for the satelites discovered and blue for the ones it already conected to. You need minimum of three to get the fearly acurate fix. If little black and yellow circle is rotating than you are conected to the receiver.

NOTE: IT COULD TAKE UP TO FIVE MINUTES FOR THE RECEIVER TO GET "COLD" FIX!!!

1) Having Windows Mobile 5 ( on Dell Axim x51v ) + TT Nav. 6.00 ( cracked ), what do I need to upgrade to the newest version + new newest maps. ?

If I upgrade do I need to crack it and if so where to find it ? Could someone post a link, for example:

All you should have to do is copy the newer (cracked) navigator and chk
files and write over the existing ones.
I would back up the originals.

thanks for the reply. So if I replace just the software thats all what I need ? What about the newer maps ? I tried to downloading some maps that were posted here ( for the south east region ) , but I just got back from Savannah, and everything what was missing in the "old maps" was also missing in the one I downloaded here. The reson could be either the maps are this same or Navteq still didn't updated it.. but thats werid too, because Google uses Navteq, and on google the roads ARE there.. but not on TT. ?

What is THE working version for the newest TT 6.xx navigator for PPC ? ( working with keygen, crack or whatever else ) thanks a lot for all the help!

Hi there,

First of all , thanks to flashGSMmsk.

I tried the lastest maps (USA & Canada v665.1293 from torrent provided by trickydave, US_MidAtlantic v665.1294 from RapidShare)
I don't notice any difference with older maps. In my area (Montreal, Canada), the map is still 2 years old. (Google Map does show a correct map, but It's NAVTEQ not TA).
Is there anything I did wrong? I use TT6 v 6.010 under WM5.

I heard on other forums that iGuidance is best for North America. You could also try Igo/MioMap. They have relesed new 2007 maps that are much larger files than previous but I could not tell you how good they are.

Hi I have managed to get a working copy of tt6 on my windows 5 phone. However the only way I can start it is to go into file explorer and click on tomtom logo. Is there a way of getting the logo onto the program screen?? Sorry if this is an easy question....have just swapped from using a Sony 910i.

Using the UK 675 map above every time I start tomtom it displays a disclaimer screen anyone know why that keeps starting, its like starting for the first time and not remembering that I have started it before.:confused:

Try removing "read only" from all files in the map folder.
Tried that but as soon as the v675 map is selected I get the green disclaimer screen and map selector screen on startup, switch back to 660 map and it doesn't come up which is very strange.

Try copying your MapSettings.cfg from your old map to you new one. That will also keep your other settings including yor faws.

Hi, I tryied this tomtom application in my N95. The version installed is "TomTom.Mobile.v6.01.S60v3.SymbianOS9.1.Cracked-BiNPDA.sis"

and the map installed is
"GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE"

however, when i turn the application on, it ask me to select the map, then I select on "GB plus major roads of WE", after that, this message will prompt:

"Bluetooth is currently switched off. Witch on???

I though N95 consists of its own build-in GPS receive?? but why I can't make use of that?

There arent realy any good maps for Serbia and Montenegro for TomTom other than Eastern Europe but that only has major roads ( if that ). If you have a PDA or PDA phone you would be better of wth MioMap or iGO. Their maps a bit better but nowhere near the street level maps as in Western Europe maps.

I have a registered copy of TomTom Mobile 5 on my Nokia 6680 and a tomtom account with a traffic subscription.

Does anyone know if I could get the traffic working on (downloaded)TomTom 6 on my Nokia E65, or will tomtom fry my account the second I login from a new device with a different code?
If you have registered at the tomtom site does it not just use your email as a login. If I can remember when I had traffic it asked me to input my email and password into the phone to verify the account.

Same issue with original Guam map included with the cracked version.

This is my first post.... I wonder whether anyone would be so kind as to help - I have the TomTom 6.02 on my N73, and every new map I've downloaded, shows:

I require working files (from the working links) of maps for the latest Australia 675, UK (preferably not with major WE roads) and France.

Is it possible for files to be corrupted DURING download?! How can that happen? Isn't it simply the ORIGINAL files are either complete and working, or corrupted, so if downloaded, won't work?

Could someone please confirm whether these files are indeed working before I go and attempt to download them again....:confused:

Did you have a problem with all the files listed above or just a specific ones? One of the folders does no longer exist. But the errors during download could happen. I had to download some things twice. Saying that I have broadband and download few parts at the same time. If it is multipart rar file than winrar or waht ever you are using should tell you which part is corupt.

Thanks for your reply Safer than Safe. Yeah, I had problems with every one of those rar files. Mostly the cline.dat file or the cnode.dat file weren't working. I just checked my GreatBritain 650.1111 file, and it was the cnode.dat file that wouldn't be extracted. I don't suppose you could send over that cnode.dat file somehow? Email or something...? It takes so long for me to download them... so its a huge disappointment when they don't work. I really just need UK, France and would be good to have latest Australia 6.75 map, but if not I already use the Australia 6.50 version.

You can conect your device to a PC and install TomTom Home. This will allow you to download and install free voices. This way they will be installed where they will work.

Yes all the maps are the same for all devices except for rider but they can easily be changed to work on other devices.

I am surprised not to be able to put more than 10 favorites (regardless of the size available on the SD card and regardless of the map I am using (all version 6.60). TT6 can't use the internal GPS of the N95 at the momment, TT are working on TT7 which will be able to use the internal GPS

Use route 66 instead

Ran on my PC and got the same code which is for Palm/Symbian.
Using same map and with my device code it works on Palm pda.

Not familar with your unit. Other two codes supplied were;

My PDA phone has built-in receiver and TomTom and MioMap work fine. It is only Nokia N95 that TomTom Does not see the built-in receiver.

Stick with that one for a while until V7 comes out. It is not realy wort upgrading until than.

it does not support this item u have symbian os 7.0s and u need symbian os s60 3gen. but tomtom 5.2 will run as well.
6.75 maps, same story, NO! but u can work with 6.3 maps or less.

I had download some .rar and .zip maps of tomtom. where should i copy them into my pocket pc? i had tried to put under SD\<map_name>\<contents>, but it does not show under switch map. did i do something wrong?

i am still doing a project to compare different brand of GPS software....

You did unzipped / unrared the maps...right. If you did and the software does not see them than they are not the version that your version of TomTom is supporting. Need more info.

On the other subject i have tested TomTom, Navigon, Route66, IGO, MioMap and Garmin Mobile XT (I think thats all of them) TomTom is still by far the best in software, closely second is MioMap. TomTom maps for Western Europe are fine. They come short in Eastern Europe and Mediteranian. This is where you can get much better maps for Garmin and than second again MioMap. Garmin have some fantastic map sources and software is not the easiest to use but OK. I am waiting for CoPilot Live 7. Reviews say that is as good if not better than TomTom.

I have a HTC touch and the only Tom Tom version that works is 6 030 but id don't have a cab file from it, does anyone has a cab file for it?
I try 6 032 but with that version I can't make contact to my GPS.

I assume it is Bluetooth receiver. First you have to find the boud rate of your receiver which will be in the spec somwhere or on manufacturers website. Than you have to pair you gps with you unit and connect manualy before starting TomTom first time. Then run TomTom and set up gps as other bluetooth with boud rate that your receiver works ( normally 4800) and whe it shows ports you should have something like com8 BT****. You may have two BT ports but try both untill you get rotating black and yellow circle in top right corner. Best to be outside because it could take up to five minutes for the gps to get the fix.

I tryed this several times, but it works only with 6 030 when i try another version the GPS is dead.
tom tom is not working with htc touch they say, but only 6 030 works ok!
But I have found the cab files for this one!!

I use maps 675.... in my smartphone, don't know if 6.32 is the latest, it works not for me.

Hi there,
i have a question on this subject.
On TT6 6.030-8270 mounted on Tungsten T3 i work with WE675.1409.
I tried to understand the Raster feature: i filled the dir with two set of files:
- a reduced set dated 2006 (9 files incuding europe_basic.ver)
- a full set (more than 100 files from sat_europe.rar)

In both cases i do not get any benefit and moreover the full set reduces the performances of the navigator.

Can anybody help me?

Pocket PC device App version 6.000 (7370).
Map Australia v675.1431

Does anybody know if there is an update to App version 6.000?
And if so wher can I get it.?

The latest official version for PDA that I know is 6.032 (8351) Not much diference, maybe a lttle bit faster. If you want to have a go here is the link:
