Hi,
I recently purchased supersim, 16 in one sim card, and programmer. It's usb but driver installs com port for communication.
http://www.nowgsm.com/supersim.htm

So i was able to extract imsi and ki from my fido sim card using simscan

and copying to supersim using the provided program, supersim backup.

now when i turn the phone on, it registers to network, tried calling myself and phone ring. but quickly after that, i get check sim message and it gets disabled. also when i try to make calls (before check sim appears) it says number not allowed.
What have i missed? There dont seem to be many options when programming supersim other than selecting the file containing imsi and ki, position on sim...

Please help

Three ideas: your network checks for
1) SMSC Number - you can add one via your phone menu.
2) ICCID - afaik only software from PICador supports unique ICC IDs for every positions. You can try to change the platform from simmax to Silver/Green2 cards. download SIM-Emu configurator 16in1 (from http://borozda.com/pic-ador/) and ICProg from elsewhere.
3) it's own Menu (SIM-Menu, SIM-Media etc.). Looks up but cannot find, and rejects the card. Try to find a way to disable SIM Menu of your provider.

Thanks sbog,
I think it's the iccid as you say. Issue is, the supersim program doesnt have any options, for iccid...
Tried sim-emu but it does not recognise the supersim as a valid card...

It's annoying cause i got the worst out of the way, extracting the ki!!

In my testing scenario, after the sim gets disabled, i turn the phone radio off (airplane mode) and back on, re-enter pin, and it stays connected to network afterwards.

I can:
1-Receive calls
2-Use SMS
3-Use GPRS

Only outgoing calls are blocked

Do you think I need a green/green2 card? or is my issue elsewhere?

Regards
m

Just dusted off a very old Ericsson T28 and turned it on with the new cloned sim.

EVERYTHING Works!

So what's the deal?
Moto L6 - No good, symptoms described above
HTC Tytn (Pocket PC Phone) - No good, symptoms described above
T28 - GOOD!

If your supersim (by error i referred to it as simmax) software doesn't give you Ki - never mind: you can scan (by appropriate soft - SIMScan 2.01, Woron-scan 1.09) your supersim - not original! since two scannings possibly could burn it - and get pure Ki (as 128 bit = 16 byte number).

I did manage to exract ki.

Supersim works T28, for all calls.
But tried many other phones, more recent ones, and outgoing calls are not allowed! I manage GPRS, SMS and incoming...

Do you think it's SIM or Network? (why is it ok on t28) I am willing to buy green/green2 card if i have a better chance of making that one work.

thanks again
