The keygen is very easy to use!!!!!
Save the keygen to your desktop & the midi.file.!! from the map you intend to use.
Go to run type (cmd) ok you get the dos screen, then drag and drop the keygen into it then press space,
then drag and drop the midi.file into it press enter, then enter your device code/ID. (CAPS_ON).press enter.
you get your activation code. xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx . make sure you enter with no spaces!!!.

I don't knw what happened but it's working now... I removed the memory card, did a hard reset and re-inserted the memory card. It installed the tomtom apps by itself from the data on the memory card. Lanched tomtom and I didn't enter any codes. It did not ask for activation either. Just select which map I wanted and now working fine. :D

Hi All,

I've managed to instal and get working TomTom 6 on my Nokia N95.
Everything is running great GB map post codes etc etc, however Voices dont work.
Just cant seem to find a way to get the voices to recognize at all.
When I try to select them it shows up in the list but they are all greyed out.
If I add any celebrity voices none show up for selection.

Any ideas Pleeeeeeeaaase

Its great have navigation working, but hearing a voice tell me my next move would be so much better than just watching the screen.

To be able to install the software the following needs to be setup in the application manager.
Settings:
Software installation should be initialised on "All" (standard it is set on Signed only)
Online certif.check should be set on off (standard it is set on "must be passed")

When this is set you should be able to install the application

After the legal notice and map choosing the app works ok, I just don't want to repeat these steps every time I start TomTom. Even if I delete the file currentmap.dat I can see that a new one is created with my last chosen map in it. But still, it can't seem to read the data from it at startup.

Depends on which maps you install. Make sure you have no nested folders and the folders are named correctly.
Look at the ,pna file in the map folder through a text editor. It will tell you there the correct name the folder should be.

Windows Interface!!! very simple activation of TomTom maps
First->Install -> then Select Map version -> Select Map midi -> Enter Device code/ID -> hit View code, & enter Code for your device!.
If you find your map is not in the list you can copy the midi.file into the existing directory (C) after install, or you can create a new directory!

Yes m8 it does, both 6.01 and 6.02.
One annoying but not really important feature is the audio. After a spoken direction command is given there is a few seconds delay and then you hear a kind of a click, a bit like keying your microphone on a walkie talkie. Never noticed this on my N70 with tomtom.

I've managed to instal and get working TomTom 6 on my Nokia N95.
Everything is running great GB map post codes etc etc, however Voices dont work.
Just cant seem to find a way to get the voices to recognize at all.
When I try to select them it shows up in the list but they are all greyed out.
If I add any celebrity voices none show up for selection.

Any ideas Pleeeeeeeaaase

Its great have navigation working, but hearing a voice tell me my next move would be so much better than just watching the screen.

Put your voices directly in the tomtom directory.

Say your memory card is e:\
then it would be under e:\tomtom\
(alot of files like: data.chk data00.chk data00.vif )

Maps should be under somethin like:
e:\Scandinavia\
(alot of files like: cline.dat cnam.dat scandinavia.mid )

or

e:\Eastern_Europe\
(alot of files like: cline.dat cnam.dat eastern_Euope.mid )

(Since you have navigation, you have maps but,
it's better to include more information)

What is the solution when all you get when you start the app is the spinning logo and nothing else?

I installed the .sis file

copied the contents of the MMC.rar to the root of my memory card
copy the contents of guam map to the root of my memory card

note. there aren't any directories at the top of my memory card for tomtom just files.

At no time so I see anything auto install

when I start all I get is the spinning logo and hands displayed.

Yep, my phone is a Nokia N73, device number: ANASA DAQD2

Its the 'Great_Britain' Map, APP Version 6.010 (7640)
Map version 562.00.

but some other files with the similar name are 'Great_Britain-24a02c86' and 'Great_Britain-24813ff3'

I've had it working in the past, reset my phone and couldn't activate it.

Tomtom cannot work with N91 because of screen resolution... the screen resolution on N91 is too low and tomtom can't fit the map and the other info on the screen...thats why the program crashes after you go through the settings

TomTom6 was working perfectly on my N73.
That was until I decided to update my phones software.
The phone recognised the cracked version of TomTom6 and uninstalled it.

Now I'm trying to reinstall the programm.
The problem I encounter now is that the phone refuses to copy folders named 'sys' and 'private' to the SD card.
Does anybody know a solution to this problem.
(I did not try to copy the files with a cardreader, but I think it scans the SD card after it will be inserted into the phone again).

Just copy the files you find inside (including the folder structure) the archive to the root of your SD Card and insert it. Afterwards TomTom will be installed automatically and a shortcut can be found in Programs folder.

I installed TomTom.v6.02.S60v3 from elsewhere, and then added your UK maps. Thanks for those :) it's working great.

I'm now trying to add your voices, but I can't get that to work.

I put all the files form inside voices.rar into the root of my mem card, but when I try to choose new voices from within the app, there are still lots of grayed out ones, and no new ones. Did I put the files in the wrong place?

I am bloomin frustrated at present. I have the TOMTOM v6 installed on my P990i. This runs on UIQ3. All good there. Have the GUAM maps setup I got with the installer.

NOW my challange is to get TOMTOM maps working for New Zealand on the P990i. I have read somewhere where a guy posted that he got this to work.

Any and all help from you guys to assist in making this work would be awesome.

One thing though: I have the NZ maps - but there is no .MID file with the NZ maps. Do have the META.TXT info for this map from NZ.

Installed in my N80 and working perfect....

1. Extract the folowing file to your Mini SD (or whichever memory card u using).

3. Download the Map Activation Keygen and extract the files to e.g C:\TTNKeygen

STEP-2: before start if u have tomtom installed on your phone, uninstall it...!!!!

and delete TOMTOM folder from memory-card also (for who had errors like, "tomtom is not starting, only globe pic spinning / connecting to bluetooth device and keeps waiting...and then not connecting")

STEP-3: make a folder like TOMTOM-PATCH on your phone's memory-card, and copy these files in it..

*GPSd.jar
*tomtom.sisx

STEP-4: copy TOMTOM folder (what you had unpacked and came from 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar file) to root of your memory-card of ur phone..

STEP:5 now unplug ur memory-card or ur phone from computer, and open any file-browser in your phone, go to folder TOMTOM-PATCH

STEP-6: Install 1.bt.sisx, 2.GPSd.jar Install 3.tomtom.sisx

STEP-7: Run "bt" from the applications menu (once is enough, it will add a virtual bluetooth device) (this can be uninstalled later if u need) and no need to run everytime before u open tomtom!!

STEP-8: Run "GPSd" from the applications menu (open this everytime before you open tomtom)

(GPSd app will ask some connections, you have to say yes to all, otherwise it wont connect int-GPS with tomtom.. saying yes to "allow application GPSd to use network and send or recieve data.. " it will connect internet (by GPRS) to get satellite list for A-GPS (Assisted GPS) (if it needs to) this happens if u didnt use int-gps long time or for faster gps connection type..

SO....ofcourse it will cost (and there is no way to make it use W-LAN), but its a very small data.)


STEP-9: Run TomTom from the applications menu and

Configure TomTom:

1) Set preferences (such as distance/time format)
2) Choose "Other GPS Device" from the GPS setup menu
3) Allow TomTom to turn on Bluetooth
4) Choose "BiNPDA GPS" from the bluetooth device list

then wait for connection...

DONE!


* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won't
remember that you were using the internal GPS*

* If you need to switch from internal, to an "external" receiver, you may need
to click on "tomtom receiver", and then "other receiver" to get the list of devices again.





*This patch doesnt work or connect to int-gps when the phone is in OFFLINE-MODE
