Greeting all ! :)
Looks like nobody even bothered with the 5.0.1.3200 release that i posted a few days ago so in order to bring some interest here's 5.1.0.2100 :D
Fixes : - Misc. bug fixes
This fresh release (Sept 20 2006) comes from Anycom once again and i must give props to them since they're pretty much the only company that offers GOOD support with regular driver AND firmware updates for their products. (besides some laptop companies like IBM/Lenovo..)
Anyways, i've upped it here :
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AJV7RU4L
I also bundled in latest LicencePatcher 1.8 by Phantasm4489. Many thanks to him for a great program !!! :)
I have't had time install it and test it out but i'm waiting for your comments expecially when it comes to compatibility with CSR and ISST based devices that was broken in previous 5.1.0.1700 release :D
Enjoy everyone and post away !

I've got a Dell Wireless 350 dongle (which I think is CSR) and this doesn't appear to work with it. After modifying the INF file it installs the drivers and appears to work, but won't discover services on any of my devices (HBH-DS970 headphones, X30 Pocket PC, and a WM5 smartphone). I think thats the same issue that happens with the 5.1.0.1700 drivers.

thanks man!! i'll stick with the 5.1.0.1100
All of us with the csr dongle are stuck in the stoneages. Got the csr dongle identified by the comp but thats as far as i got
Back to the trusted 5.1.0.1100
Thanks anyway Adisor19
Rather off-topic, but I've been using the Toshiba BT stack for the Dell 350 and I'm quite happy with it.
If anyone is interested the latest version is available here:
http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/
If you search the forum there's a patch to overcome the 30 day limit for unlicensed devices.
Here (http://rapidshare.de/files/33986095/Widcomm_5.1.0.2100_bluetooth_drivers.exe) is a rapidshare link for Widcomm 5.1.0.2100 bluetooth drivers.

Well that sux.. I guess we can officially say goodbye to our old CSR dongles and Widomm :(
Our only hope is if IBM releases a 5.1.0.xxxx version of the Widcomm drivers since i recall the chipsets used in their laptops are CSR based. (at least some of them are) I'm crossing my fingers as their next release should be around December. Only thing to do is wait and see, or ebay this CSR dongle :S

Use btwusb.inf from 5.1.1100. You can download it here (http://slil.ru/23174799).
My laptop Acer 5672 works fine.
there is no csr dongle in the default btwusb.inf.
i put my csr dongle in this default btwusb.inf and install the bt device.
now i can discover bt devices but not there services i get a security error message. :-(

Thanks buddy (adisor19), keep'em coming!
Btw, how come this one is considerably smaller than the previous release (5.1.0.1700)?

The 5.1.0.1700 from Anycom contains a firmware update for their BT adapters.

Yes unfortunetly, as others have already noted, it IS not compatible with CSR based dongles.

I have just installed this and now I have some japanese text in applications, but still can't seem to have it work with my ISSC dongle. I installed direct from the zip and patched the license to ISSC. Is there anything else I need to do?

Hi All
I have installed v5.1.0.2100 with a Targus MBT-1203 dongle (VID_0A5C&PID_2009) that came with Targus AMB01US Mouse.:D
I have also installed v5.1.0.1100 with on a Toshiba Tecra A4 PTA42 that has a CSR RFBUS internal BT card PA3418U-1BTM (VID_0930&PID_0508).:)
Now that I have my Logitech MX5000 desktop running with the above I have also tried to install v5.1.0.2100 with the redundant Logitech MX5000 dongle (VID_046D&PID_C709) on another machine without Setpoint... but I can not get the drivers to load properley.:( The MX5000 Logitech Setpoint uses Widcomm (v5.0.1.2500) with this dongle without any problems; so I did not expect to encounter any difficulty. Perhaps I am missing something; or the dongle has a proprietary nature that requires setpoint  Does anyone have any experience using v5.1.0.2100 with the Logitech MX5000 dongle?
Thanks 4 a great forum and your helpful contributions:cool:
@redsky_atnight
Install the widcomm distro with the Logitech dongle unplugged, and when it starts complaining about not finding the adapter bla, bla, bla, press the red button in the dongle and plug it back in without releasing the red button, then resume installation and release the red button.

Yes thats logical - pressing the red button on the Logitech dongle just did not occur to me... I already had v5.1.0.2100 installed with another device. So rather than reinstalling I stopped the device and replaced it with the MX5000 dongle and pressed the red button.... The driver did not install properley automatically; but on the second attempt I manually selected the driver and correctly installed it with the button pressed. :D
I'm stoked. Thank U!
I downloaded ANYCOM software (in fact of course - it is Widcomm release
for them), made changes to get my USB BY dongle to work, and everything
works as I want but one. I have polish Windows XP and want to use polish
language in whole Widcomm software. But polish language is only during
installation, but rest of application (bt tray and configuration) is in english.
How to force use of polish locales in this soft?

How to force use of polish locales in this soft?
I have the exact opposite problem: Even though I use an English Vista, my locale is set to German and subsequently the Widcomm drivers all appear in German, which I would like to switch to English.
Any idea what I could do?
