;************************************************* *******************<br />; GSM a38 Silver Wafer card v1.06 by Dejan Kaljevic 1996-2001 <br />; <a href="http://www.net.yu/~dejan" target="_blank">http://www.net.yu/~dejan</a><br />; (eMail: dejan@net.yu)<br />;************************************************* *******************<br />; Altered by Alf (pa@netcabo.pt)<br />; ------------------------------<br />; v1.06c<br />; - Switching card/provider bug seems to be fixed. No more problems in <br />; portuguese networks :)<br />; - Call costs, if enabled, will display "CRD X", where X is the number of <br />; the selected card. If cost is in units, only X will be shown. (card number is 1-8)<br />; (this allows to distiguish between cards from the same provider)<br />; - SMS parameter (1-8) will move to top accordingly with current selected card...<br />; rest will follow in order (ex. card 3 selected, profiles 1 and 2 will show up as 7 and 8)<br />; - Brought back length checks<br />; - Added security:<br />; * No A38 before pin is entered<br />; * No writing of files (except phonebook) before pin is entered
; v1.06b<br />; - Corrected switching of providers bug by not allowing phone to read IMSI<br />; *before* pin is entered (under test)<br />; - Disable/enable pin now will actually change the card now if the pin for<br />; another card is entered.<br />; (depends on behaviour of phones... at least in Portugal network updates<br />; occur frequently and most phones will realise that KI/IMSI is wrong and<br />; re-read IMSI from card and re-register.)<br />; - Crossed out some length checks to save space<br /> <br />; v1.06a<br />; - Added 8 real pins (up to 8 digits) with support for changing them. <br />; Counter/blocking/PUK/unblock not implemented yet<br />; (old pin entered is ignored, the pin that is changed is the one from the <br />; current selected card)<br />; (attempt to enable/disable/change pin does not make the phone reject the card anymore)
Ohhh... any comments or suggestions for improvements are very welcome! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
And I forgot to say that the original pins for the positions are 0001 0002 0003 ... 0008.
Pins can be changed to up to 8 digits <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
Pin2 = Pin1 for all cards. You'll need that for call costs <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">
Must write a manual <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">
Has anyone actually used this?
Haven't got any feedback <img src="frown.gif" border="0">
If you have used my changed version please drop me a mail <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
Hmmm... a real nice work and with dedication. Worth trying!

hi all im new to this can i use any of dejan software with an elvis prog to copy my sim or wot will i have to do
Elvis? Hmmm... Don't know... can you put it in phoenix mode? ludipipo mode? give me an url from where you got it.
To program the Silver Card you have to use "Ludipipo Mode" to program the PIC and "phoenix mode" to program the external eeprom (and also to set the KIs/IMSIs).
Alf i really wnt to use it but i want your help first to read my KI please add me to your icq<br />143238391

I have only just found this forum, but have been using this moded Silver software for quite a while. In my opinion it is excellent. It does everything I want it to do and does it well.<br />A very big thank you to ALF and please keep up the good work.
Hi,
I'm running a cloned SIM using TwinSIM (based on Stern's Project Simpic 65) which works reasonably well with 2 accounts.
There are a few bugs I have noticed, one is that sometimes an SMS is received in the Inbox, but when I try to open it the phone goes back to the SMS folders menu. This is repeated every time I try to read that message, the only way to solve it is to use the "erase all" feature of the Nokia 6210. Some SMS messages work fine though.
Another, less troublesome problem is that the phone makes a loud beep when switching off, indicating an error. This doesn't happen with a real SIM so I can only assume there is a bug with the power-down functioning of the cloned SIM.
Other than that the gold card SIM clone works fine - I don't have a problem with the limited phonebook and SMS storage because my 6210 has plenty of internal memory. However I'd prefer that the information such as Ki and PIN numbers was implemented inside the PIC to allow it to be code protected incase I lose the phone or SIM. Also that the PIN code function is more secure like a real SIM is.
Could you tell me how much of these things are supported in the silver card version of GSM_SIM? I'd be interested in buying a silver card and programming it with your software if it will have a worthwhile advantage over the gold card using only two accounts. Does the silver card software support "fixed dialling" which is supported by some real SIMs (Orange ones in the UK have it)?
Thanks for your help, and thanks for the software Alf <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> .
PS I can't download the software, link doesn't seem to be working <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> . Could someone e-mail me it please (with any documentation that is available): paul_morgan_2000@hotmail.com Thanks!
OK I got the sotware OK, but no instructions. If anyone has any documentation please e-mail it to my address above. Thanks!
Just put the Pic and eeprom files onto the siver card in the usual way first, then use Simscan f6 to load your Ki etc. into it by following the instructions on sceen. Use pin 0001 for the first set, 0002 for the second set etc. up to 8 if needed.
Thanks Alf fot this hard work,it is really much better then original,<br />Cheers<br />NBG

code for silver is almost the same as for gold.<br />gold problems can't be solved or features added because there's only 3 words left on the PIC for code.<br /><strong><br />will start trying to split GoldGSM_SIM and use that after etc etc ...<br /></strong><br />I have the "splited" files... they're kind of hard to split... better way to do it is cut the hex at where the eeprom starts, convert to binary and remove all odd bytes (or are they the even ones? don't remember...)
<strong><br />cheers again Mick ..
