I've tried every available hex I can lay my hands on including Dejans, Alfs modified Dejans, Sim Emu, Kissme Hex Gen, etc.....

I can't get any of them to work with my Elvis )Ad-Teknik multiprogrammer v3.5). It fails to write the pic.hex on both dejans and alfs versions failing with input timeout at either 824h or 82Ch depending on the version I'm trying to write

Goldcard sims I can do fine so i know my IMSI/KI is valid and that my hardware works with sim scan.

I can program silvers for UK DTT no problem so the hardware and my cards are definately 100%.

Anyone out there got any hexfiles that work with Elvis?????????

Anyone give me a few pointers as to how it may be possible to modify the hex's i have to work with Elvis?

(big thanks for help already received from Alf and Insp_Gadget) Theres got to be a solution there somewhere.

@alf - I saw a post from you about being able to read spanish and Sim EMu - I've tried Sim EMU 2.01 and the hex's from it write fine to the card but after inserting in a phone it waits for about 30 secs before showing insert sim (faulty cards or no sim show insert sim immediately so i guess there is some communication going on between phone and sim before it says insert sim - could be my editing) . Any chance you could do some translating for how to edit the hexfiles into english please?

Have tried all the silver hexs you mention and in my opinion Alfs is by far the best. <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

As to your programing problem I have experimented with this since your last post and can confirm that for some reason only ICProg can handle the pic hex correctly. Other software that is usually fine for silvers cannot do this hex in a way that works. Any software is fine for the eeprom, but it must be ICProg for the pic hex.

Is it possible to put your Elvis into pure JDM emulation mode?

Nope the only extra modes Elvis supports are Phoenix and Smartmouse, no JDM or Ludipipo modes available.

Sure there must be a way to convert the hex - just don't know how to do it.

So your problem is in the PIC programming part, right?

As I can see your program aborts before programming the fuses...

Try this <br /><a href="http://alf.di.fct.unl.pt/Nokia/gsm_sim/1.06c/gsm2cn.hex" target="_blank">hex</a> and see if your programmer can program it into the PIC...

If you need an hex for the external eeprom, it's on the site too..

Tell me the result <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

About the spanish version... I think v 3 is there on the page, not sure...

If it works or not I don't know because I don't know where I put my programmer <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

If it does work and does everything it claims to do, you can dump my version <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">

Hi Alf,

Thanks for posting the new hex but the file you posted isn't working for me. The programmer software (Dosprog) doesnt even recognise it as a valid file so I can't select it to be programmed.

I noted that your file is 67.2Kb Dosprog requires a filesize of 47579 bytes (46.4kb) for the Pic hex and 11531 bytes (11.2kb) for the ext eeprom.<br />I don't think the eeprom size is critical as I've had no problems with it using any of the ext eeprom files i've tried it just seems always to be the Pic it bombs out on.

Would it help you if I sent you some hexfiles that I know work with my setup - maybe you can examine them better than I can and see if you can spot any problems?

Thanks for the help so far - it is appreciated,

Regards,

Northern bloke:<br />Can You contact me<br />eurocrypt@inbox.as<br />Iīm up to make a Hex generator<br />based upon NEW Sim-Emu 3.00<br />and need someone to test it.

About Your problem, try to open<br />PIC-file with IC-prog and save it <br />again, it will probably be fixed<br />then.<br />(Filelength)<br />At least Picīs generated with my<br />proggie getīs the length you mentioned.<br />When doing it this way.

@northernbloke:

The .hex size is different because has less bytes per row... only that... it was made opening the original in Picall and saving it...

Send me your programming software and I'll make you .hex files that work with it

@Insp_gadget:

Yes... if it does what it claims, you can "bin" mine. Just don't talk about it as if it were trash because it cost me some hours of free work in benefit of everybody... <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

Guys,

It's sorted now - got some new programming soft for Elvis (multiprog v0.3 by TJ) and it works a treat

@Eurocrypt - I used the hex files I made last night with the prog you sent me. BUT when i put the card in the phone and tried to enter the pin it wouldn't accept the pin i'd specified in the program, I tried your program again and it won't run - just comes up with "out of memory". It refused the code 3 times and blocked but accepted the PUK code and allowed me to enter a new pin and it's ok now. Do you have a fix for this problem? would like to add my second sims info to the card and make sure theres no prob regarding the pin input

@Alf - thanks for your help making new files etc and trying to solve the hex incompatability probs - very much appreciated
