View Full Version : Thanks got it running next "problem"
I tried the dejan simscan with 5 computers. Not working. Only the last computer it is running, but it is very slow. is this as is or can I preform something so it will be running on faster computer?

If you've got it running I assume you have correctly generated the par2.bin file which is the tricky part that fails on a lot of computers...
If you're using the limited method (F5->F3) the first hours (until it finds the first 12 bytes of the KI) can be sped up by increasing the crystal on the interface..
The next 20 hours or so (finding last 4 bytes, does not use the card 'till the very very end) are CPU bound and can be sped up on better CPUs...
You can interrupt the scanning and move the interface (and directory content) to a faster computer...
My PIII-700 takes about 20-22 hours to find the last 4 bytes of the KI and 2 hours for the first twelve with a 10.7Mhz crystal.
