Hi all,<br />for your information I developped the new GSM SIM emulator based on Silver card (Greencard version with more functions/storage to be finished soon). Short review: 8 SIM cards in one chip, 191 numbers and 40 SMS's, PIN protected, IMSI and KI update from SIM Toolkit menu (=> no card programmer needed), Network info (available in SIM Toolkit menu as well). Prepaid cards partially supported. Tested phones: Nokia, Siemens, Dancall, Alcatel, Ericsson, Trium, Sagem. Many types from every mentioned supplier successfully tested. Other phones not tested but supposed to work as well. At the moment I do NOT plan to release it for public use.
So... do you plan to sell it? Are you planning on releasing it for free?
Does it have the same features as "Sim Emulator 3.0" for the silver?
Does it support card actualization for non-STK phones?
Can we get the full specs? <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Will it be able to be programmed by non ludipipo programmers such as Elvis (AD-Teknik multiprogrammer V3.5). I'm desperately seeking hex for a silvercard that will program correctly using this programmer.
I could test it for you if you'd like - could guarantee not to pass it on to anyone else I just want to find something that works for me - goldcards are ok to test ki/imsi but not practical for normal use.
Best regards,

Alf,<br /> as I had to spent a lot of free time on this project, I would really like to get some money for it... I plan to sell programmed wafers in the country I live if anybody is interested.<br /> The version I made is different from Sim Emu 3.0 and I hope the mine is better a little bit. The card actualization is also possible from Dejan's SimScan 1.21 or from Winexplorer (no way to do it directly from non-STK phone). There is integrated loader (compatible with Ronny's SIM-PIC instructions) as well so the 2464/128 EEPROM can be read/written through Winexplorer. KI's are stored in internal - protected - EEPROM. PUK management is not implanted - card is permanently blocked after 7th (optional) incorrect PIN input without warning. Checked PIN length is 4 numbers (PIN1=PIN2), 5th number is the card selector (1-8). PIN can be changed but can not be disabled.<br /> SIM Toolkit commands - Update IMSIKI - no comment, Network Info - shows current MCC+MNC, Cell ID and the LAC. Any other questions? <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
Northernbloke, <br />I am using Ludipipo compatible / Dumbmouse compatible programmers - home made and I can highly recommend to use these devices.<br /> Unfortunately I don't know the Elvis programmer but if you can program the 16F87x PIC inside the Silver and if Elvis can work as a smartcard reader compatible with Winexplorer, you should be able to program the EEPROM as well. The only thing you need is a correct loader and Winexplorer script in suitable format with EEPROM content. <br />I am sorry but I have the limited number of beta-testers and I don't want to distribute code at the moment... <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
I understand and would never sell your version.
I'm not selling mine, eheheh
It'd be for personal use... Trust me <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
Drop me a mail <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
@northernbloke:
have you tried the other .hex files I posted?

Hi,
@Programmer, are you making cards, which works on all networks, and I would be able to call for free or not?
You can't get free calls unless you clone someone else's cards...
There's no such thing as creating a magic card...
Even if you clone a prepaid card and put unlimited balance on the clone, operators will block calls at the central when the balance is over...
The time when you'd "freeze" a prepaid card's balance is long gone...
Programmer, Sound very intresting concept and been even more intresting to testing it out <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
one feature that would be big bonus I think with all this if you could change networks with powering down the phone and powering back up
another good idea possibly having 1 shared phonebook for all numbers on that card to oppose each one having diffrent one or have feature to do one or the other.... <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

Hi,
@Alf:<br />If you visit <a href="http://inc-trwdata.tripod.com/" target="_blank">http://inc-trwdata.tripod.com/</a> you'll see some one is selling card for free calling. You also can buy programmer here. Visit and say what do you this about it.
I don't mean to be rude but for something that i will only use for my personal hobby i never pay that much.
Iam not after free calls just like to experiment as hobby.
I guess its upto the code writer if he want to distribute it to anyone would be nice to have but can understand the time and effort he has put into his work so i respect his wishes.
Rgds

@Ari:
The phonebook is already shared among all the cards...
About switching without turning the phone on/off... that is very very phone dependant... it'd require the phone to re-read IMSI.. how to make this happen... well... on my version try to disable the PIN and use the PIN for another card... then do a manual network search... I think it'll work... Much more hassle than powering the phone down...
@Bigman10:
That WILL NOT work on all networks... it's a major hoax. The better thing they can do is change the card's balance... most networks now don't rely on the card's balance.
In Australia the amount is also logged from the network side and not the sim

Sorry mate, I don't think theres anyone on here daft enough to fall for a scam like that. "Please someone buy a very expensive card and tell me if it works!!!!!!!!" - please credit people on here with some intelligence
IF it's a legitimate "Quality" business then I would expect them to at least have their own domain name instead of a Tripod address.
Also the link is now dead.
I don't believe it's possible - but then what would I know I'm only a network engineer for a UK telecoms network.

download it from the homepage. It's in spanish but almost halfway down the page you will find a link to SimEmu3.00.zip
<a href="http://www.ciberia.ya.com/simemu/" target="_blank">Sim Emu Homepage</a>
Also on this section of the forum you will find a link to an English Translation that Alf is working on. Thats if you need the English Version (Just spotted your location as Spain so I assume you can understand spanish <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> )

Grrrr, I lost two my posts in this topic... Never mind. All questions for me has already been replied by Alf (thanks! ;) ).
I was working on my GSM SIM emulator upgrade overnight so the SIM Toolkit menu has been extended in new version (Card select option for switching card without powering down the phone, Network Info now contain active card # also). The card switching is under tests at the moment.

Can you give me some hints to create my own Sim Toolkit apps?
I studied the ETSI standards about the STK, I developed a sample application, using a helpful Siemens AT command, but using a serial connection with my PC to emulate the SIM interface.
Now I would make working my app in a real SIM, and to do it I'm modifing the assembler source of the dejan GSM_SIM project... It's very hard for me!!!
Another question: the gold card version of GSM_SIM work in a Siemens SL45 phone?
tnx!!!!

@Programmer:
I'm very curious to test that new version :):)
There's one feature that would SURE like! To avoid going to the SIM ATK menu (specially on phones that do not support it) could you implement something like I have put on my version of Dejans:
If prepaid credit limit is ON and currency name is 'CRD' the prepaid limit is equal to the selected card?
That would show "CRD 1" or "CRD 2"... etc... below the operator logo and would be very nice for people that have more than one card from the same operator (one prepaid, one contract)...

Hi all, just FYI - I made new version of my GSM SIM Emulator, the first one based on Greencard.
Major improvements:
- full compatibility with Cardinal (other SIM emulators does not allow phonebook writes due to Cardinal bug)
- ADN list (phonebook) extended - currently 250 records (16 characters per name)
- FDN list (currently 10 records) added
- LND list (currently 3 records) added
- ALS (alternate line service) support added
Still don't plan to release it for free...
What do you mean with line2 support?
If I have 2 cards from the same operator I can put them together in one without having to ask the operator? probably not... please explain...
Programmer

Well, the Operator must support this feature (there's one Ki for two accounts - phone numbers- of the same Operator so you will have to ask Operator for assigning). Currently our newest operator - 230-03 have SIM cards prepared for this service but does not offer it yet (on new phones you can just select LINE 2 from menu but it does not work). My clone card should be also ready to support this service but I have no chance to test it in Czech Republic - currently it's useless. It may have some sense in future (if ever) or in some other countries where ALS is already used.

Just a short update - GPRS support added to my Greencard version and successfully tested. :)
You just seem to have reverse-engineered SIM EMU and added a FEW features...
Too bad you are selling it...
You could just cooperate with SIMEMU so to have a full featured card..
bah.

Hey, rude man!
Where are you from? From the Free_of_charge land???
In country I live you must pay for EVERYTHING so please don't be surprised I want some money for work I have done. What interesting YOU can offer for free? :p
I could hardly disassemble SIM EMU because my version was announced earlier - it was first clone SIM with SIM Application Toolkit Menu ever! Some people (including Daniel) from this forum maybe could confirm that...
Anyway, latest updates to my Greencard version are following:
- GPRS support (also included in my latest Silvercard version)
- individual ACM meters for every account (can be used as Selected_Card_Number indicator as well) to support more prepaid accounts.
Now I am working on simple Locator implementation (to send the current location over air on remote request) - requested by some wheelmans...
I don't know when Programmer release his first version, the mine was at Dec'01, but I am sure that when I was developing my SATK version (4.00), Programmer send me his pre-release version already with SATK support.

Thanks, Daniel. ;)
I have made many SIM card clone versions - starting with Goldwafer and Bluewafer in 1999.
