Looks fantastic so far m8 - well done - so much better than the translations i got when I ran it though online translators.

One little bit of grammar i'd change but apart from that it's fantastic - can't wait to see the rest of it.

[quote]From this version you can insert the PIN/PUK data on the mobile itself. They can also be inserted before flashing the PIC. The default PIN/PUK values are 1111/11111111, 2222/22222222 and 3333/33333333. I'll explain the reasons.. I'd advice to change the PINs/PUKs for the ones from the original cards.

The last little bit doesn't read quite right in english. I would change it to

I would advise changing the PINs/PUKs for the ones from the original cards.

Keep up the good work Alf - I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it.

Many Thanks

eheheheh... little mistake there... I wrote "advice" thinking of "advise". Advise is giving advice, right?

Sorry... english is not my natural language and even though I try to "scratch" it... well.. I'm not perfect

ehehh... at least I'm not as bad as some people I've seen posting from UK... specially in alt.cellular.nokia newsgroup!!!

It's corrected and I'll keep translating it

Looking good again Alf - no mistakes I can see - makes very nice reading.

Wish I could speak any second languages as well as you speak English.

Excellent stuff mate,

I'm drooling over here

If you reload the page every 10 minutes or so you'll be able to see that I'm currently translating...

I have not come to that part

If you want the links, go to the original page

Anyway, I'll remove them and point to the original page as the author certainly doesn't want me to make is work available somewhere else... one thing is the instructions translating...

how's the translation going Alf,

Seems to have stopped, - I'm not complaining here by the way I know you are a busy man and what you're doing with it is certainly appreciated.

Boas Alf...Epilog is back from the grave... :)

For PHILIPS and ERICSSON I had to implement "and" instruction not used by the rest of the brands, called SEEK that they use to analyse the SMSs status. --> This and should be "an" or "a new"

Cya and best regards alf...

You're right (it's a typo, should be "an") . I'll fix that later when I pick up the translation again.

Excellent translation, I'm currently using a TwinSIM Gold Card type SIM clone, so I think I'll pick up a Silver and change to SIMEMU.

Is there a way of changing the selected account without switching the phone off and on?

Also I noticed a few bugs in the TwinSIM clone, one was that the phone (6210) gives a warning beep when switched off indicating the SIM doesn't shut down properly; the second is that often a received SMS cannot be read because each time I try to open it the phone goes back to the menu. Are there any bugs of note in the current version of SIMEMU?

Thanks and keep up the good work :)

@Paul M:

There's currently no way of switching providers without cycling the power of the phone.

About the bugs in TwinSim, you're right about the SMS one... this is because the card reports more records than it actually has.. can be fixed easily by changing a couple of things...

About the beep. This is because the card does not allow the phone to update one of the LOCI/BCCH records. This makes the switching work without using up space on the card to store these records.

Thanks for the excellent reply Alf :)

Could you tell me how to change the TwinSIM PIC/EEP to fix the SMS problem? I use ICProg so if you tell me the bytes to edit that will be great. Or do I have to edit the source?

Well, as I described here (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33649) few weeks ago, in my latest version of GSM SIM emulator is possible to switch between operators without powering down the phone - from SIM Toolkit menu. The problem is that there's almost no benefit over power cycling phone - SIM card needs to be completely reset and reload anyway and it takes some time.

I have just downloaded your modified package from satdudez and rewritten my gold card SIM using it. Done a few test SMS and it seems the problem is solved - many thanks :)

Thanks for the info programmer, I think I'll just stick to power cycling for now.

BTW Do any current SIM-clones feature "fixed dialling" that is present in some real SIMs? You know the PIN2 protection that allows only outgoing calls to selected user-defined numbers?

I know Orange SIMs in the UK support this, it's a SIM-dependant feature rather than network dependant and can be very useful. Is is supported in SIMEMU3 or planned for the future?

AFAIK there's no SIM clone with FDN list at the moment (the reason is most likely the space limit on wafers so ADNs and SMSs are preferred). I plan to add this list to my new version of GSM SIM emulator based on Greencard (with doubled EEPROM over Silvercard) but it won't be soon...

Shall I continue the translation or is everything needed already translated.

It gives me some kind of hassle to do it but if sufficient people ask for it, I'll finish it...
