here i would like to talk about Tv's channals on our Mobiles.Here in Pakistan some peoples are installing application witch name ROKTv.They installed RokTv and seening above then 150 channals on Mobile.that application only run with Telenor Sim.So IS any buddy know about it how can we View Channals on our Mobile.I install that application but only few channals can View.that application i have is 3 files but they ( who installing RokTv with above then 150 channals) have 8 files of RokTv.i Requst that if any Buddy know about it Please share it ( if you would not like to share here then Kindly Pm me ) Hope you People Give me Responce Soon..... i am waiting

about 5 months back...i have installed ROKtv on my 6630..
i started watching tv. I GOT USER NAME AND PASSWORD FROM SOME SITE......there are about 20 channels which i could see.. (not 150)
but now i dont know what happen???it alaways says INVALID USER NAME OR PASWORD....
NOTE: YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET USER NAME ...
PLEASE HELP

so why dont u ask ur costumer about rok tv???
ask him that how he gets the user name and password....

this app is working but it takes tooo much time to load....
and channels are also quite booring....and we cant watch channels in full screen..
DO U KNOW HOW TO WATCH INDIAN TV CHANNELS VIA GPRS ON MOBILE???
IS THERE ANY APP WHICH SHOWS INDIAN TV CHANNELS????

hi all
i found this round about 54 channals but not tested. witch site i got this they said copy these channals in app/rocktv/..... and d'nt update it.no need to username and pass
test and post here results

brother they said that from lahore and witch person who installing that not online on the net he asking for 5000 pak rupes for it.its not fair

when u saw more then 150 channels in custumers mobile then have u seeen in them any pakistani or indian channels?
i saw your 56 channels list didnot tried but red the names.

brother i am not sure but i think that 2 indian channals and 1 pakistani channal

ROK TV Full Installation package for Symbian phones (including username & password) is attached, Unlimited GPRS or 3G will be batter for you guys or you will have a heart attack when you will receive your monthly bill :p
You can add your own channel links in this player as Real Media Streaming Links ( *.ram ) open these files in notepad and you will see the links to those streams, you can easily find links to free live internet channels in Real Media Streaming format and you can watch those channels on the ROK TV.
Like www.smartstreams.com or search google for more Real Media Streaming links.
Copy these links (*.ram) in ROK TV media directory (/system/apps/roktv/media) and these links will be shown as additional channels in your ROK TV.
(You don't even need ROK TV to play these media links, just open these streaming links with RealPlayer and enjoy)
NOTE: ROK TV will only play RTSP Real Media Streams not HTTP ...

About $100AU for that? Doesn't your phone company have its own channels anyway though? Mine has a fair few. HSDPA is great :P You'd assume they be better and probably cheaper.

hey there.
its nice that uve posted the rok tv software here. ive installed it in my N70 but have not been able to watch tv. well when i select the package chennels out of 20 subscribed. it says "Authentication problum. enter correct username and password" although ive entered teh same username password as u have provided with the software. do u know whats the problum and how can i remove it??
secondly i cudnt either add my own channels. plz elaborate the process a little.

ive also heard about the rok tv available in hafeez center . its only available with telenor sim because telenor is the only service provider in pakistan offering EDGE. but i dont know its price .... if u get to know any further thing about it. or could share anything. it will be most helpfull of u. cya around.

AFTER READING ALL OF UR THREAD I FIRST SAY THANKX TO FAISAL COMPUTER FOR STARTING THIS THREAD...
NOW LET ME EXPLAIN FEW THINGS TO U DUDES...
FIRST THIS IS A REAL STREAMING SOFTWARE LIKE LIVE RADIO OR TV ON A PC BUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PC ONLINE TV AND MOBILE ONLINE TV IS STREAMING RATE WHICH IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER...
OUR GPRS OR LOCAL NETWORK PROVIDER HAV'NT MUCH BANDWIDTH FOR PLAYING THIS REAL CHANNELS...
HERE IS A EXAMPLE :
FOR PC LIVE ONLINE TV WE REQUIRED 512KB STREAM WHICH MEANS AT LEAST DSL CONNECTION REQUIRED AND FOR DAIL-UP MODEM REUIRED MINIMUM 28000 BPS SPEED REQUIRED WITH 5 MIN. FOR 1 MB DATA....
BUT AT MOBILE MODEM SERVICE THEY USE 19200 FOR MAXIMUM EDGE SPEED WHICH IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MOBILE TV CHANNELS WHICH ARE ACTUALLY PC ONLINE CHANNELS...
I HOPE U GOT MY POINT... NOW FOR FURTHUR DETAILS ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE AND CHANNELS U MEY PM ME ....

dear friend in pakistan only telenor supports mobile tv service but you have to pay 500 for activition charges and 500 per month . it has only 14 channels and all of them are pakistani and indian.
just type tv on your telenor sim mobile and send it to 888
they will also give you its mobile application and user name .
compatible with any symbian 3g mobile .
i have tried it.
