I reflashed LG U880 - it works now in 2G network (GSM), but cant make any outgoing call (or receive incoming) in 3G (WCDMA) network, same operator.

Is there a solution for this?

It says 'Service Unavailable' when I try to call

Which media & NV file did you flash? I understand modem and module is always the same for this unlock solution

Thanks! I'll try it on Monday when I'm in 3G coverage.

I have tried flashing several NV2 files so far with no luck. The phone will even find 3G network (displays 3G next to signal strength meter) but all attempts to make a call result in 'service unavailable'. In GSM (2G) mode everything works

Which country is your phone from? Does it make a difference which media file I flash (I know I need to change country code in flex.ini file)

Didnt help a bit. I did a full reflash with IT media file (country code set to 0 as this is UK phone).

I even called my operator, and they told me my phone is not suitable for local 3G network as it's designed specifically for 3 UK network.

What a load of crap.

I started playing around with Service Programming settings... and setting RRC to 'Integrity + Ciphering' solved my problem. I have no idea what that means but it worked.
